PortableApps on a micro SD card in Virgin Mobile's Broadband USB device

Submitted by tvme on February 3, 2011 - 12:46pm

Has anybody tried this? A search didn't show anything but I may have done it wrong.

There is a micro SD slot in my Virgin Mobile Broadband2Go dongle. But there's no sense buying a micro SD card if it won't work. Might be kind of neat to have everything in one dongle.

The package says: "Doubles as a flash drive with microSD reader". It is an Ovation MC760 if that means anything to anyone.

Thanks,
Bob

I'm finishing up a full status update for posting tomorrow including information on the site performance issues that have plagued us the last month and a half, the ongoing Drupal 7 upgrade work (with new app directory and localization support), SourceForge downtime and 1.9/2.0 Beta 6 Platform delay. And don't worry, I won't go promising any release dates that will be missed this time.

I'll be posting it in the AM NY time. Until then...

Site Speed Improved

Just wanted to let everyone know that we've tweaked the site configuration a bit to improve performance, especially for logged-in users. We've disabled live stats so we lose the ability internally to monitor popular pages and site traffic in real time directly. Publicly, the only thing we lose is the site stats tracked on the forum page showing how many people are currently using the site.

This should improve site speed for guests and dramatically improve site speed for logged in users. It should also eliminate the 'site overloaded' message showing during the day.
