Guys,
I read a thread here (from 2006) about usb removal scripts.
I just wrote my own 2 scripts. I think they're worth checking out.
The first is a standard script that copies devcon.exe and then removes the usb. it does NOT leave any cmd.exe processes. no windows are shown.
The seconds is kinda special. It actually CREATES devcon.exe so the only file needed is the script itself! it's not size efficient (the script size is 10 times larger than devcon.exe itself) but the idea is nice, i think.

Hi,
I'm new to Portable Apps. It's a great idea. If this has already been answered, I apologize for asking it again, but I couldn't find anything in a search.
I can't get any of the portable apps to connect to the Internet, including ClamWin, Firefox, etc. Could someone point in the right direction for a solution to this problem. It would be greatly appreciated.
I am using Vista 64-bit, if that makes any difference.
Thanks for your help.

"You wanna know a good download for that (flash drive)- for those things? PortableApps.com - go there and in one download you get like 55 cool applications, and they just reside in your pocket." - Sebastian Rupley
About the show:
I'm looking for a program that can rip music from and audio CD without quality degradation. The audio must be ripped in a Lossless format so that the original quality is maintained. I would prefer the app to be freeware and portable, not necessrily a PortableApp Release. Thank you.
Hey i was searching the forum for how to create a theme. I couldent find anything so im hoping that there wasent a post about this and that i just missed it.
Anyway how do you make a theme?
Also how do you make a custom theme not just changing the colours like actually change the size of it, what you can click etc
thanks
I've noticed that drupal supports a thing called OpenID which i use on certain sites, including mine. Can portableapps.com start supporting this feature? thanks
This is simply a post to say thanks to John Hall and all of the PortableApps.com team. From the programmers and testers to the moderators, posters and users. Thank you all.
My virus scanner, CA eTrust, is detecting the Win32/Loodok!generic.2 Trojan. This is being reported against the system.dll which gets extracted from the application launcher.
I doesn't happen on all apps; the latest ClamWin is okay, but firefox and filoezilla, for example, exhibit the problem. I have even re-downloaded the firefoxportable.paf.exe but it also shows a trojan when run, and the MD5 checksum is correct. Running the application executable directly, without the launcher, works perfectly.
just to get this out of the way, recently, mods have started requesting that we use the Add Comment link instead of just replying, problem is, i dont feel like scrolling down through 50 posts on "Corrupt a Wish" and then scrolling all the way back up to the top just to hit the Add Comment instead of the convienient Reply. **do you think we could have the Add Comment replace or at least be next to the Reply?**
