is there any way we could make the new releases have kindof an auto update thingy so everytime ther is a new PAM it will update automaticly?

I searched the forum and found only one other thread that asked a similar ?, but not the same one.

I would lik to have the PAM stay open after clicking an app to launch it. I always feel like I am racing against the clock if I want to launch 2 or 3 apps, I either maybe get to 2 if I am fast enough before the menu fades, or I have to relaunch the menu to start each application.

Is there some setting I can change to allow for the manu to remain as long as my mouse hovers over it?

My file manager of choice is ZTree and it runs out of a sub-directory without needing registry entries.

I know I can simply make that sub-dir a child of the PortableApps sub-dir and it'll work but there are several other helper EXEs in the ZTree sub-dir that show up in PAM that I don't need to have listed.

Firstly I am not happy posting this in the open forum I would have prefered a private email with the developer for reasons that will become obvious but as there is no email support here goes.

Portable apps menu CLOSES my F-prot anti virus real time protector DOWN on launch from my USB pendrive.

I am running F-prot for Windows version 3.16f on WinXP SP2 with all updates on an K7S5A based machine with 512Mb RAM and Athlon 1800XP CPU.

This is not an isolated abberation but occurs every time I launch Portable apps menu

Ok so here's my issue I work in IT support for a large corp, using win2000 and Xp, the portable software has been a boon to my job and I am a big fan,,,,,But I am for my sins at home a linux user and will not change to using anything else. Is there a way i can get the ports to work on both systems as I have started using thunderbird and sunbird all the time, can use both on my linux box,

any idea's

Hi,

My PAM isn't displayed correctly. All the buttons (e.g. the programs list, document, video, help, search buttons) are all coloured black. When I hover over the buttons it changes into the colour that would normally be correct. It also doesn't look to be the 'New' PAM. In the screenshot the 'New' PAM has icons for the documents, etc., and more importantly it has an eject button too.

Can anyone shed some light on this?

Maybe you could have an option to minimize to the tray?

I find PortableApps suberb og would like to use it instead of U3. but U3 has a password protection option that makes the U3-usb secure until the password has been entered. It's the one and only detail that makes me hesitate and change completely to PortableApps.
Does there exist a similar password protection for the PortableApps?

i love portable apps menu but when i click on it i want it to start in tray icon and not to pop up like it normally does, is there any way to do that? thank you

P.S. it would be nice if in the new update they added a small litte menu when you right click it to exit, or open.
