downloading a list of 35 Apps, it stopped in 28 out of 35. What now?

is there a different if I install the platform on a PC, USB or cloud expect the location (path)?
I installed the platform long time ago on a "USB Drive". Later I just copied the directory to a OneDrive folder.
Do I have to change any settings to have the best performance?

Product name for Libreoffice Base Portable has a slight bug, there are 2 spaces between "Libreoffice" and "Base", ie : "LibreOfficeBase"

I'm not pretty sure, or if I have still created the Folder "Database". Since I need it each and every day, I'd like to join through the Sidebar, where "Documents, Music" etc. pp. are still allocated.

How I can manage to expand the Sidebar, or do I need to replace another Shortcut like "Music"?

I have been using PortableApps for years and never seen this before. The platform wanted to update to 26.0, but when it started to do so, Avast Antivirus showed a popup saying that it had quarantined PortableApps.com_Platform_Setup_26.0.paf.exe because it was infected with "FileRepMalware [Misc]". Is there a way to update Google Chrome Portable ? For example, from version 113.0.5672.127 to version 114.0.5735.110 without having to delete all the data in that Chrome Portable (like cookies, extensions, history, ...) ?

I tried deleting the "App" folder in that Chrome Portable and replacing it with the latest Chrome Portable's "App" folder. Is this way effective? Other than this, is there a way to update without the error message "An error occurred while checking for updates: Update check failed to start (error code 1: 0x80004005).

Been using portable for a number of years now. It has been very reliable. It has its quirks but generally they sort themselves out. Consequently never really had to post issues until now. (First post)
This issue comes under the category of "sorting itself out" expect in this case it isn't and has been steadily getting worse over the last 6 months.

After I updated the Google Chrome Portable (manually delete the "App" folder and copy the "App" folder from the latest version of Google Chrome Portable downloaded from the homepage). I got this error.

The problem is that before I was able to run Google Chrome Portable with Selenium Python, but after updating and showing the above error. It can't run Selenium anymore.

For some reason the ReNamer program, which I do use from time to time, always opens upon running the Launcher... Every Time!. it has been doing so for months now and is terribly annoying. There is no option in the ReNamer settings to stop it from doing so that I have found. I recently updated to version 7.5, hoping a resolve was included in the patch, but no luck. Any help to resolve this issue would be most welcome.

For example, if a Firefox update changes two files, firefox.exe and a .dll, why are all PortableApps users re-downloading the entire Firefox installer? you could just have the installer use an index of the updated installer files, CRC32 or some other hash to verify the already installed unchanged versions, then supply the updated files.

Also, if the altered portions of the updated file contents are very small, you could use something like ParPar to patch those, yielding even more bandwidth.
