PortableApps.com Platform

The built-in updater is listing lots of updates for the apps on my USB drive. When I click Next to download and install them, it goes to the Downloading and Installing screen, then I get "Downloading 1 of 25: /AppName/" but the lower progress bar just says "Connecting". It gives up trying on the first program, then proceeds to 2 of 25, which fails in the same way. I get "Unable to download the file. This could be due to a proxy or network issue...."

I have tried running the updater with the firewall switched off - exactly the same result.

Any idea what is wrong?

Currently latest Java Runtime https://portableapps.com/apps/utilities/java_portable release is Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_351-b10) (Version 8 Update 351). I'm curious are you planning to add official (unofficial) Oracle Java 9 32-bit release - https://stackoverflow.com/questions/46356345/can-java-9-run-on-a-32-bit-os?

I tried twice today (2022/11/04) to upgrade my portable apps, but ProcessExplorer does not work. Error message says there"s an error with zip file (sorry I'm not on the machine right now, I cannot copy-paste the exact error...)

If you activated the fade effect, it will look like this.

I can't figure out how it happened. Because it just happened by chance.
But it usually happens after I change the options. For example, change connection settings.

Can I reliably run two instances of the PA platform simultaneously?

probably name instead of value:
PortableApps.comApps=strPortableAppsPath
PortableApps.comRoot=strPortableAppsRootPath

Before running the XAMPP Control Panel, the following command must be run to change the paths, otherwise Apache and MySQL will not work:

App\xampp\php\php.exe -n -d output_buffering=0 -q App\xampp\install\install.php usb

When installing PortableApps on a new laptop I noticed that installation to cloud storage such as Google Drive is now specifically supported. I installed to Google Drive years ago and I normally just add a shortcut to the PortableApps exe file for a new machine. I've had no real problems except for Ditto which always displays a little red cross next to the exe file and 3 DLLs in the App/Ditto folder indicating a sync problem. PicPick also has some minor issues, but both apps still work okay for the most part.
