In latest 'PortableApps.com_Platform_Setup_24.0.paf.exe' after installation (update or clean new) in 'appinfo.ini' is wrong (previous) version:

Hi, need some help.

Have several copies of Chrome x64 portable, in directories as followed:

GoogleChromePortable64
GoogleChromePortable64_Copy_2
GoogleChromePortable64_Copy_3
GoogleChromePortable64_Copy_4
GoogleChromePortable64_Copy_5

App update succeeds on all copies. But the rename of the shortcut in the Platform gui is lost for all instances except for the one that is for the default app directory; note in addition, all 5 renamed shortcuts where all marked as favorites and 4 no longer show up on favorite list.

After close to 3 years of using PortableApps it is time for Me to say goodbye. Ive had several problems in the past and I received more support from the community then from the actual owner/developer of this software. In fact the majority of his replies were that my drive was failing. Im here to tell You that my drive that I have been using for PA and I am still using right now is and has been working fine the entire time with 0 read/write errors and that the problem is/was indeed with the PortableApps program itself.

Is there any app similar to Google Chrome Portable but consumes less RAM and memory?
Chrome Portable is currently like a regular chrome and consumes a lot of RAM, the download capacity is about 250 MB. And about more than 500 MB in use.
Is there a way to reduce these parameters to a significant extent and still be usable? I just used a lot of Google Chrome Portable to view and retrieve messages on Gmail and Twitter for our project.

The words "(machine generated)" should be in the value of ContributedBy not in the value of LocaleWinName.

I also have some questions on the language variable value. I do not know are they error.
LocaleCode3 for Hindi has only 2 letters " hi".
LanguageCode for Igbo has 3 letters "ibo".

Update is impossible, because «Automatic App Closing» does not work – the program has long been closed, but the main window does not see this and reporting about a some «app».
I had to kill:
PS > (Get-Process "*portableapps*").Kill()

The built-in updater is listing lots of updates for the apps on my USB drive. When I click Next to download and install them, it goes to the Downloading and Installing screen, then I get "Downloading 1 of 25: /AppName/" but the lower progress bar just says "Connecting". It gives up trying on the first program, then proceeds to 2 of 25, which fails in the same way. I get "Unable to download the file. This could be due to a proxy or network issue...."

I have tried running the updater with the firewall switched off - exactly the same result.

Any idea what is wrong?

Currently latest Java Runtime https://portableapps.com/apps/utilities/java_portable release is Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_351-b10) (Version 8 Update 351). I'm curious are you planning to add official (unofficial) Oracle Java 9 32-bit release - https://stackoverflow.com/questions/46356345/can-java-9-run-on-a-32-bit-os?
