PortableApps.com Platform

Did something change with the hosting for PA.c downloads? My download speeds have been very slow for around the past week. Have tried every day and still have the issue. I am on a gigabit connection in the UK and still get really slow speeds. Occasionally the download will just stop.

Anyone else noticing this? I'm sorry if it was already addressed, but I didn't know where else to bring this up.

Today I try to download PortableApps.com_Platform_Setup_26.2.3.paf.exe from https://portableapps.com/download.

This fails each time I try.

Firefox 118.0.1 (64-Bit) on Windows 11 Pro Ver 22H2.
Also Chrome Version 118.0.5993.70 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Is there a way to list installed programs on a flash drive?

After updating the platform version from 26.2.1 to 26.2.2, when updating a program, it don't show "Installing Firefox" or "Installing XnView" anymore, but instead things like "Run: "C:\Users\(name)\AppData\Local\Temp\nssDAD0.tmp\XnViewPortable.paf.exe" /DESTINATION="X:\PortableA

The new release of XnView Classic fixes the security problem with webp files.

As suggested, I shall open a new thread to track this issue.

I have multiple apps/utilities that were categorized into folders, under PoratableApps.com folder I just put directory symlinks to the real directories.

Because the real directories were categorized into folders, sometimes its paths were a bit long. I managed it somehow.

However, whenever the absolute path length is greater than 260 characters, the app can not be opened from the PortableApps.com Platform.

After updating the OS, I get this error when I try to run Start.exe

OS: Windows 10 Pro 22H2 19045.3448

Whenever i try and use the eject button on Portable apps 26.2.1 it causes a BSOD (page fault in nonpaged area).

This has happened on two different computers now.

Has anyone else seen this recently?

I want to know why the installer of Irfanview installs both the 32 bit and the 64 bit versions of the program.

The develeper of Irfanview has updated a few plugins without changing the version number of the program.

Two format plugins contains security fixes, which is important especially for the WebP format.

Hello could you please tell Me if there is a setting in the PortableApps platform somewhere for Aplications that come with both the 32-Bit App version And the 64-Bit App version to only instal one of the two versions? And if there is one where do i find it? And how can i set it to if possible install only the 64-Bit version?
