Hello,
I have another sandisk flash drive and it is a locker version 2.0, which i want it to pop up a screen like U3 does when you plug it in sort of like a view of portable app(base edition). My question is does portable app(base edition) on the flash drive pop up like that and show you a menu. Also i needed a program that would ask me when i plug in my flash drive for a password before i can use the flash drive. Thanks guys.

HI all,
Thanks in advance to read my post.
I am working in an organisation , i wanted to know if i run portableapps thru my flash drive then can my network admintrator know i accessed this particular application on my workstation.
Also if he can do that , is there a way to stop him?
Please do reply , as i intend to use mozilla on my workstation
(which by the way i like a lot!!!!)
Thanks

I've added Foobar to the PAS menu but it also shows the unwise.exe. Does anyone know how I can hide it on the menu? I'm sure it's safe to just delete it but I'm just curious if this is at all possible. Thanks.
I got a new PNY 8gb usb stick so I downloaded the standard version, installed it, and launched it. When it came up at the bottom it said "7.2GB free of 7GB". I suspect maybe its rounding down to 7 because right-clicking and selecting properties for the usb drive it says 7.45gb total. This was a virgin stick and all I installed was the Portable Apps Standard edition. I have a screen shot if you need it.

I'm using computer set to 1280*1024 and the menu has a slight problem.
see the screen shot attached.
(though the X isn't pointing anywhere, its original location (right lower point) does close the menu.

I really like portable apps, but I primarily use Ubuntu 7.10 x386 at home.
When I run the menu it work fine, but once it disappears i cannot find it again. The only way to shut it down is through the System Monitor.
There is an icon for it in the status area, but it is a non-icon; a completely blank space where you can see through the menu bar to the desktop.
Does anyone know how to fix this? or where I can access it?
The menu should have an option to create a small file even a blank one in the home computer so it won't change background there. Something like a portableapps.ini in the Windows folder.
For a while now I've thought it would be great if the Quit button on the PortableApps menu would also undock the USB key, instead of requiring a couple more clicks, on the Safely Remove Hardware icon, and then on the drive letter - which if there is a few choices can be awkward to work out.
Anyhow, I bumped into some code (while looking for something else) that might be a good starting point if anyone was interested.
