PortableApps.com Platform

I enjoy using portable apps. However I can only use it on Windows machines. I use Ubuntu Linux on my laptop. I would like to see portable apps being able to be cross platform compliant. Just thought that I would throw that idea out. I would like to suggest this to my customers that come to [link removed] but if they use anything other than windows it won't work.

is it possible to add folder like music and video.

for example,i wanna add a folder named Downloads and see this on PAM.

I really like what you guys are doing, but one thing really frustrates me about the menu. Because of that fact that it automatically detects and lists all program exe's in the program folders it lists a number of exe's that should not be listed. Could it be possible to include into the menu's options the ability to 'permanently' remove unwanted exe's from the list? I think this kind of update is essential in order to tidy the whole thing up.

I want to test portableapps pam menu but i want to remove portable apps.
My problem is that i have want to have the same aplications without any lost. I dont want to lost my firefox data for example.
Can i copy the complety firefox folder to another place?
Can i just delete portableapps and copy portableapps pam menu to the flash?

Just wanna ask, is it possible to include a folder management system ie like the one in PStart. I have the PAM Mod R30 installed however I can't seem to get it working properly. I have the options of adding a category. Thats grand, but I can't seem to add another further folder. None of the programs won't move into the newly created folders. They will move up and down but not into the folder.

Any help would be much appreciated.

How do you use them I haven't gotten past downloading the .rar file in other words how do I access the skins after downloading them?

I am proving(trying) the menu of portable apps from a CD; but in order that the unit of CD - rom not from mistake I need to expel the program and windows there shows me the following mistake >>Unable to write to CD - rom "PortableAppsMenu.ini"

Two things:

1 - a run command like is there on the normal window start menu.

2 - ability to run without the tray icon, just a standard minimize to the toolbar. If there is an option to run without the tray icon then the menu could be used as the start menu in a windows PE environment ot run tools from a bootable cd\ufd. Great uses for diagnosis and repair of systems and you could still use it the portable apps from within the existing OS.
