I recently migrated my portable apps to a new USB flash drive, and it couldn't have been easier. I did a complete backup of my old flash drive with PAM Backup (not Toucan), installed the Base Edition on my new flash drive, and used PAM Backup to restore the backup. Done.

When I try to close the menu by clicking on the X in the lower right corner nothing happens. I have to close the application using Windows Task Manager (ctrl/alt/del) so I can remove the USB thumb drive. Anyone know a solution? eded

sry about originally posting in the wrong place. still have the problem that the wallpaper is changed to just plain grey instead of my actual picture. well its changed to mybackground colour instead of wallpaper in the display options menu of windows. on my friends laptop nothin happened and her background stayed the sme as before i put in the usb, until i removed the usb safely etc, her background changed to grey also without the usb in until the computer weas restarted. it does not work at all on the university computers.

wouldnt it be possible to make it so that it shuts down portable apps when the drive is removed? i have seen that it knows bec the avail. memory changes so why not shut? also the protable roboform (not portablapps) does exit itself when you take out the drive. so iguess it is possible

Is it possible to ignore certain executeables? (For example uninstall.exe in some directories, and xampp webserver has about 5 exes, when I only want one of them.)

Anyways, is it possible not to delete, but hide them?

My mouse will regularly stop working when I open the portableapps menu. I've tried the latest beta and even the GeekMenu alternatives but all behave the same. I can work all day with the USB drive in the port and the menu program running but it will only work a few times after the USB drive is inserted and after that, it will lock up the mouse every time I open the menu and - if I pull the plug for the mouse and reinsert - every time the menu closes.

I am using my EEE PC a lot these days, config is as follow;

4GB SSD (XP Pro installed and stripped down to suit my usage)
2GB RAM (800MB used as RAM disk)

It's not really a big deal, but I noticed when installing PortableApps on my brand 8GB OCZ Turbo flash drive, the menu tells me that I have "7.5GB free of 7GB." I just found that a little strange. O.o

How do I remove menu items from the Portable Apps menu without removing the program. I recently added Spybot and the menu system lists spybot six times. It obviously is picking up any .exe apps. I just want a menu link to the main app.
