Error Message: "Unable to connect to PortableApps.com to retrieve portables apps. Please try again later. [Access Forbidden (403)]"

I copied my PortableApps files from a workstation to a laptop. While both are on the same network MOST of the time I also have the ability to attach the laptop to a DSL line for external testing.

Just made my annual donation and I got to thinking whether the Platform development stalling (we were to have monthly updates after 12.05 was released in September last year, https://portableapps.com/news/2014-09-10--portableapps.com-platform-12.0...) has any bearing on the amount of donations.

If I switch my Windows 7 theme to Classic, the apps list in PAP will still have a black background, and it looks really crappy. I can still use it, but it definitely is cringe-worthy UI-wise. Any idea on how I could fix this by any chance? The problem doesn't go away if I change the PAP theme to a light one.

I'm not sure if this belongs here, but it's the only place it seems to fit into. When viewing the PA forum on my phone, the nested replies become horribly squished, to the point that I see only a massive vertical string of letters along the right hand side. I use a Samsung phone running Android.

I need to use two chrome apps for different uses

The search should have an option in what subforum (on what page) to search, at least in the "Advanced search" on the results-page. That would be very useful, as of now, you can't do many forum-related usfeul things with the search. For example I can't search for help for a certain portable app, if I enter the search term, results of any place on the website (or forums if i selected that in advanced search) are displayed. I bet an often use case is to find something on the website in general, anyhow, to be able to use the search for the forums precisely.

I installed the Portable Apps Platform onto my flash drive, as well as the Firefox browser. However, the graphics program I like (Faststone) offers its own portable program, and is not available as a download here at this site. I tried simply copying the folder onto my flash drive, but the PAP does not see this in the flash drive and list it in the index/start menu.

Is there any way to install a non-PAP app onto the USB drive, and have PAP see it so I can have a shortcut in the start menu?

I'm using Portable Apps Platform,
one of my Apps is Filezilla.
When I launch it, it says there are updates; but when I check for updates from Platform, it says no updates are available (for any App).
Do you experience the same thing ?
I'm using Filezilla 3.10.1.1 (it says the newest version is 3.11.0.2) ; Platform version is 12.0.5. My OS is Windows 8.1.
