New App: Minitube

Submitted by tdmeskimo on July 30, 2012 - 11:25am

I love my Minitube, there is a Linux version and windows version. what i like about Minitube i can search Youtube by relevance or channel and then watch the video. On my Ubuntu I can download the video, for my windows version I had to pay because it downloads the video as mp4 file, but it is great. I thought it would be great to have a portable version as well.

thanks

ClamAV

Submitted by farat_as on July 22, 2012 - 12:13pm

Hi!

I found many discussions on forums about ClamAV. I know you support ClamWin which does not support real-time protection. ClamAV has real-time protection and it is free and open source. Can you please support it too? Is there any plans about it?

Thank you!

Kindle Portable - how to do it Legally

Submitted by RaggieSoft on July 15, 2012 - 10:00pm

Since I did a quick search and found many requests for a Portable version of Amazon's Kindle for PC, thought I'd throw this in. How to legally do it:

1. Grab a copy of Google Chrome Portable
2. While in Chrome Portable, search Kindle on the Chrome Web Store
3. Enjoy having Kindle books portability. You can even have your books available locally (instructions are available within the Kindle Web App)

Mods: feel free to modify this, move this, or do whatever. I only posted this since I'm sure people are coming to Request Apps looking for Kindle
