LibreOffice Portable

Location of templates and documents

Submitted by clarer1 on May 6, 2014 - 4:30am

Hi,

I'm brand new to Portable Apps. Trying it because I use LibreOffice at home but work has Microsoft Office. And sometimes odd things change when I open documents in one then the other. And as I'll be carrying my USB for Portable Apps, I thought I might as well have the documents I'll be using on there instead of Dropbox. But I'm not sure which folder I should save them in. Nor which folder I should save templates in.

Running slowly, wants permisson to access the Internet.

Hello everyone,

Over the last few days, LibreOffice Portable has been running slowly to the point where everything takes several seconds to operate. This includes

- Starting the program
- Typing (I can type a few words, then it will pause, and a few buttons will fsde out for a moment, then it will come back)
- Saving (takes about 10 seconds or so before it's ready)

File Location Error?

Submitted by ArthurL on April 5, 2014 - 6:29pm

Im using the latest version and Windows 7. I have copied the portable suite to both Program Files and Program Files (86) directories and get this error on trying to launch any of the LibreOffice exe's.

"Libre Office Portable cannot be run from inside c:\program files. This location is for standard local software only. Please use this application from another location."

If I however move the LibreOffice portable folder to my desktop it works as usual?

Hi There,

I can't seem to find a section on the site to download older versions of a program. I am looking for the portable edition of Libre Office 3.4.5. I do have the full installer, but preferably want to use a portable version. Can someone point me in the right direction if a portable version exist somewhere for me to download?

Thanks!

Hello everyone!

I have a legal copy of Microsoft Office in my personal computer and always been happy with it, never gave me any trouble. But recently my computer broke and at the moment I am forced to work in two borrowed computers, with no microsoft office, that's why I started using LibreOffice portable.

At the moment I am having two problems that I can't find the answer to.

All my files are in xls or doc, because I also need them to be compatible with my bosses computer, who has no intention of changing.

[Fixed] md5 mismatch

To cut to the chase, I've downloaded LibreOfficePortable_4.2.1_MultilingualNormal three times today because the md5 I'm consistantly getting (cfd59c8f1c4af23af2913c65546cf39b) doesn't match the one listed on the download page (82662e83a0cb967ce9fa66a370c32a8). What up?
