Hello,
Can anybody help me, I need tto put some fonts at the LibreOffice but i don't know how can i do it
The known bug that LO crashes after changing autocorrect options and closing the application is active in both versions of portableapps, i.e. the current 5.0.2 and the previous 4.4.5.
The horrible autocorrect makes the writer app nearly unusable, so you must turn off autocorrect before writing and turn it on before closing the app. Otherwise, the app crashes. In any case, it is impossible to start writer without autocorrect enabled.
For the time being, OpenOffice seems to be the only viable workaround. Maybe there should be a LO with autocorrect disabled by default.
I did an experiment to test load times for this app. The total app size increase of 50% pales in comparison to the unreasonable wait time increase of 800%. See data below:
Libreoffice 5.0.2.2 Portableapp.com 317mb 2min 0sec
Libreoffice 5.0.2.2 [link to warez site removed by mod JTH] 485mb 0min 15sec
Kingsoft Office 2012 Portable 147mb 0min 7sec
LibreOffice Portable prints text instad of Images
I barely upgraded from LibreOffice 5.0.0 Rev 2 to 5.0.1. Now as soon as I attempt to load LibreOffice, my avast 2015 10.4.2233 will bring up 2 Deep Screen Popups to check it out and about 3 seconds later ... POOF! My computer crashes and reboots.
Seeing ONE avast Deep Screen Popup when bringing up Apps is normal, but I had never seen any App cause the appearance of 2 Deep Screen Popups. I think one is checking out LibreOffice.exe and the other one is checking out LibreOffice.bin or something along those lines.
This is/was a known bug which is supposedly fixed in 5.0.1. of the main program. See:
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=93188
To reproduce (as per bug report):
Open LO Writer, select Gallery > Sounds, right click on a sound file and select preview. Media Player launches and plays sound. Close Media Player and LibreOffice Portable will crash.
I create Impress presentations on a Windows Vista laptop assigned to me and plug in the USB on a Windows desktop at work. I have downloaded music files to accompany my presentations, but they will not playback on the desktop. They work just fine on the laptop, so I'm somewhat confused by the differences. How do I download music to the USB so that the files will play on any computer? Thank you.
Issue
I posted about my situation over on John T. Haller suggested I try something and then post a new thread if I the issue persists. But, even though it did not, I'm quite frankly flabbergasted at that fact and so am posting this because I'd like to see what you may think might have been the/a cause. This was the thread snippet between Haller and me:
I did the following:
I am using LibreOfficePortable_5.0.0_Rev_2_MultilingualStandard.
I tried searching but I see no search facility here.
There are two earlier solutions, one referring to CAB files, but there are no CAB files in LibreOffice_5.0.1_Win_x86_helppack_en-US.msi offline help from LO.
The other solution is a poorly written homemade installer and freezes in Windows 7 x32 so bad the process cannot be killed, either via Windows Task Manager nor SysInternals Process Explorer... Looks like only a reboot will get rid of it.
Can someone please post CLEAR and TESTED instructions on how to install Offline Help for V.5x of LibreOffice?
