[Fixed] OpenSymbol font in LibreOffice Portable 6.0.4 is corrupt

Submitted by fjjimgar on June 16, 2018 - 6:58am

I have detected that the source opens ___. Ttf that comes in the libreoffice package is corrupt, as a result the mathematical operators in Math come out as rare symbols. I have been able to check it on 3 computers.
The solution is to download the source opensymbol.ttf rename it to opens ___. Ttf and replace the one that carries the portable distribution.

While making a calc worksheet, I selected the font type, the currency type, and when finished I saved it.
However when I open this worksheet to make more entries (or updates), the font type is not what I selected, had to select it again, same with the currency.
Have I done something wrong ?
Answers will be appreciated.

Pasting web content to Writer

Submitted by mini_yang on April 20, 2018 - 8:58am

First of all, big thanks to the community for the great work.

I have encountered an issue on LibreOffice Writer. My first laptop with the latest portable version cannot paste web content in a document. The pictures are all broken. I have installed the same non portable version on another laptop and everything works like a charm.
Does anybody have a clue about the reason?

I clicked the actual app icon in the "program" subfolder and... guess what, it worked almost instantly... so the portable app Libre office loaders have problems in Windows 10... wish i knew how to redirect the portable apps program to open the app itself, not the launcher...

Update for LibreOffice 6.01 rev 2

Submitted by jojothehobo on February 26, 2018 - 6:41pm

For the past few weeks, when I check for application updates, I see an update listed for:
LibreOfficePortable_update_6.01_rev2 UpdateFrom 6.0.1_ONLY.paf.exe.
The update is 5 MB.
When I click on it I get an error "Unable to download file" and lists some possibilities.

When I check my installed version I see that it is .
Is that what is giving me the error?
Is there a way to make the error go away by stopping the app update or changing something in my version?
