Now on a clean windows ( i have copied directory with opera to new hdd ) opera does not see any of my settings, extensions, or soo:(

Any ideas how to fix it? Does opera portable create other directories on windows exept does where she phisically is?

Thanks

Download error Chrome Dev very often

Submitted by hjok on November 20, 2018 - 10:18am

Hello,

I get almost always a download error message when I try to update Chrome Dev. Since several days the following:

Downloadfehler: File Not Found (404) bei Datei http://portableapps.com/redirect/?s=p&a=GoogleChromePortableDev&d=sfpa&w...

I have manually download the latest version 'GoogleChromePortableDev_72.0.3610.2_online.paf.exe' from the server.

Greetings, hjok

Should the new "Allow Chrome sign-in" setting be kept as on?

Submitted by lwc on October 19, 2018 - 3:12am

Chrome v70 introduces a new controversial setting, "Allow Chrome sign-in", which Chrome Portable leaves as "on".

By turning this off, you can sign in to Google sites like Gmail without signing in to Chrome

When it's on, it's possible it only works in non Incognito mode.

Also, there's another setting, "Get Google smarts in Chrome" ("Sync and personalize Chrome across your devices"), which is disabled by default, and maybe they cancel each other out anyway, but you have to know for sure.

Hi everyone,

I would like to know if you were OK if I could give (and maybe update) the Chromium Stable Browser? As it has been retired of PortableApps, because it was not upgraded still v61, so I found a continuous official project and created a PortableApps format with both 32 and 64 bits versions.
I tested it at home and it works as the old 61 version, but in v69. The PAF exe can update the old one you 'maybe' still have in your PA dir.
