Sunbird Ver 0.7

Submitted by marvin on November 5, 2007 - 2:38am

Is there any one working on upgrading Sunbird Portable from version 0.5 to version 0.7 or even 0.8pre.

I do not have the software or the know-how to do it or I would.

I manually copied the 0.7 files from my hard disk to my USB stick and got 0.7 working but it would be nice if there was an official PortableApps.com release.

SunbirdPortable.ini : AllowMultipleInstances=true doesn't work at all.

Submitted by MokuJin on October 17, 2007 - 8:22am

Hello,
i would like to launch multiple instance of sunbird, so i looked in 'SunbirdPortable.ini' and found 'AllowMultipleInstances=false'. i've change it to 'AllowMultipleInstances=true'.
But it doesn't change anything.
Sunbird say:
"sunbird is already running, but is not responding. To open a new window, you must first closethe existing Sunbirdprocess, or restart your system."

I've look for something in sunbird and found 'parent.lock' in 'data/profile'. it seems to lock sunbird, and prevent it to have multiple instances.

I am making decisions on the structure of a fairly large secure database for a "family registry". I can either:

Angel make the whole database one BIG file. This makes searching for a name much easier using the FIND command as it will automatically search the whole database at one time. This would be my preferred method.
Or
(B) Break up the database into a number of smaller files.
