Trying to download and it says the link isn't found?
Hi,
I may have missed this... will the Portable FF 3.5 installation overwrite the Portable FF 3.0.11 folder? I want to have them separate for a while since the release candidates for 3.5 ran much more slowly on my Micro Cruzer.
I can't remember if I am given the choice of installation directory. Guess I'll just go ahead and see.

I've had PortableApps.com's version of Firefox running on my thumb drive for quite a long time and have never experienced this issue before. Upon installing the latest version of Firefox (3.5), I noticed that Firefox automatically closes when I try to view a page that contains graphs requiring Adobe SVG Viewer under IE. The interesting thing is that the full version of Firefox 3.5 (non-portableapps) does not have the same problem.
Can someone help me resolve this issue? More details are available upon request.
Now with v3.5 out, can Improving Firefox Portable's Performance be updated to replace "Disable Cache" and "Disable History" with Tools=>Options=>Privacy=>Use custom settings for history=>Automatically start FireFox in private browsing session?
Also, privacy aside, does it make the actual browsing faster or slower?
And is it also technically safer (like a sandbox)? Or is it nothing more than a "delete history on exiting" setting?
Thanks!
Improving Firefox Portable's Performance gives outdated instructions to disable this feature. What's the new instructions?
Thanks!
Hello World,
I customized my FirefoxPortable and it works well. But I've one trouble. I edited my App/Firefox/defaults/profile/mimeTypes.rdf to execute (and not display) my lch files.
Now when I click on it, I've a dialog box to select the application to open with. I select the Launch.exe and it works great.
But now, I would like to not have this dialog box. I would like to automatically call this Launch.exe which is in App/Firefox/ like my Firefox.exe
So, what can I do to do this?
Thanks in adv.
I want to update but keep all my addons and settings intact...
Is this possible at all?
If not what is the best way to update and minimize how long to reset, after all, the best thing about a portable app is not having to reinstall all the time?
Cheers!
Adblock Plus should be a given; one of the main reasons I think people use Firefox over other IE alternatives like Safari and Opera is that Firefox can block ads, and quite easily at that. But I'm pretty sure everyone who knows Firefox knows about that.
So what extensions do you find invaluable that others might enjoy?
Hi,
I am having a problem with portable firefox, recently, the last week or so, when I have a couple of windows open it flips from the window I'm looking at to the other.
Please keep any answers as simple as possible as I am not that computer literate.
thank you for any help you can give.
