FF dropped my bookmarks and other settings

Submitted by punkbohemian on December 23, 2007 - 5:21pm

Just now, I opened firefox on a computer that I've been using my flash drive on for the past week and a half, and it dropped all my settings. All my bookmarks are gone, my homepage was changed, and some of the bookmarks I can't get back without hours of digging. Can anyone explain why this would happened? Has this happened to other people using FF portable? If it's a problem, I'm going to have to switch to something else. Thanks.

operational differences between firefox 2.0.0.11 regular & portable

Submitted by crusader27529 on December 16, 2007 - 11:16pm

I've just noticed that operation of the opening of a new link differers from the regular & portable versions.......I don't know if it's related to FF or portable or the add-ons I have installed, but the add-ons are consistent between the two, as is ALL the versions of everything.....

Simply put, the portable version opens a new FF window when a link is selected even though the options are set to open in a new tab.....if I right click & tell it explicitly to open in a new tab, that works.

Script to automatically update Favourites

Submitted by MB07 on December 16, 2007 - 7:01pm

I've seen this before somewhere.

I want to create a script, which I manually launch, that will automatically update the favourites from my computer version of Firefox to PortableFirefox on my memory stick.

So basically a transfer of favourites file from my computer to memory-stick.

Any ideas?

Thanks guys.
