Firefox Portable

I just want to point out that Firefox portable doesn't seem to start once I install the extension Foxmark. Many thanks.

I am at a Fed EX store using a 25 cents a minute computer. I put in the U3 and all the programs work here except Mozilla Thunderbird and Mozilla Firefox browser. Nothing happens except this message comes up in a window with a big red circle and a white "X" and the top of the window says, "U3 Launch Pad." The message is: ""An error has occurred while trying to start the selected program" I uninstalled and re-downloaded the programs, but get the same message. Other email programs work like: "Reach-a-Mail" (a U3 program), but I want Thunderbird!

First of all, let me start out by saying that I have been browsing these forums for quite some time and have gotten a lot of useful information, so thank you folks.

Here's my issue, I am running PA off a brand new Flash Voyager 2GB (limited tech budget won't allow me to go GT). Most of the applications run fine, but FFP is pretty slow. I assume this is due to the slower small file writing speed of the Voyager (something I wish I had learned from this site before my purchase).

I am attempting everything I can to speed up FFP and minimize the accessing of the drive.

How Do I Edit The .nsi Source Code File In Firefox Portable. I'm Running Windows XP and It Keeps On Giving Me A Box Asking Me Which Program To Use To Open It. Please Help.

Thanks for the portable apps, I think they are amazing.

I have one request, though:

Ideally I would like to have my portable firefox on a USB drive with all my cookies and passwords, and accounts saved in Firefox Portable.

Obviously I shouldn't be doing this, because if the disk gets into the wrong hands, it is a major security risk.

My proposal is that Firefox Portable (or even just my firefox user profile within this) could be password protected.

Hello - need some help and found no answer by searching this forum.
I use portable Firefox 2.0.0.11 on a extern HDD together with two notebooks (home and office), one with XP and one with Vista. On both notebooks latest Java is installed and works fine with IE7.
And here my problem: On the XP-notebook firefox portable runs with Java without problems - but when I try my Vista-notebook it fails. Any idea?

I have rather complex instructions for my customers [on my website] for installing Firefox and then adding a plug-in (I hope that's the right term; it's an Add-on that a programmer did for me). The end result is a custom Firefox installation that has special discount shopping functionality.

Wondering if I could use this Portable Firefox to create an install file that my customers could download that would have my plug-in already embedded so my customers could do a much simpler one-step installation.

I know Java has already been discussed but i couldn't find what i want.

I have read that some people have made JRE portable by copying and pasting it and adding a batch file to the same directory.

I was wondering if someone would write a tutorial on how to do this, like what files to copy and what to put in the batch file that will make it work with firefox portable.

I originally put portable Firefox on my work computer because I didn't have admin access; however I now do and want to install Firefox(the non portable vers) is it possible to seamlessly have my settings(bookmarks, history, passwords) move to the new Firefox. Or what files do I need to copy over. I would also prefer not to have my addons switch over.

Why can I not and/or how can I enable FFP to remember the fact that I want to accept cookies? Currently using this install on one computer with the only user being me so I'm not in any need at this juncture of protecting private data or erasing my tracks or anything, I'd just like to have Firefox be able to accept cookies whenever I start it without pressing [Alt]+[O],[Tab],[Tab],[Tab],[Tab],[Tab],[Space],[Enter] every time.
