I'm looking for a way to install mathfonts for portable MathML support in Firefox. Is this possible?

I've tried to install portable firefox on both a 32MB thumb drive and a 128MB thumb drive without success. After I download the zip file to a folder on my desktop, I unzip it and move the files to the root directory of the thumb drive. Next step says to double click on PortableFirefox.exe. When I do this I get this message "firefox.exe was not found. Please check your configuration". The install instuctions seem simple enough. What am I doing wrong. Thanks.
Hi.
It seems kind of risky to change the "Shell Folders" by NSIS, as it is a permanent change up to the next login (as it will then be rebuild out of "User Shell Folders").
Kind of the better way to do might be to make a CreateProcess with the environment changed.
Kind Regards
Thorsten
I want to recompile portable firefox with a different splash screen...
can anyone give me details as to how to use the nullsoft file in "firefox code"?
i've never used nsis before.
Hi guys,
First time here and something to pick your brains...
I've been using the good old FavoritesHomePage created by Robert Perry a couple of years ago (it seems that he hiding somewhere in cyber space) and it is an excellent script to organize the favorites with pictures in the background, etc. it is a complicated script (to me anyway) that runs flawless under IE or Avant Browser.
Firefox does not run it and when calling the main file it just says "Loading..." and sits there not doing what it should be doing. This happens both with the full version or the portable. Is there a fix for this? Please talk English as I'm not a programmer.
Hi, Unfortunately i use AOL and if i want to connect to the internet without using the aol web browser i have to right-click on the aol quick launch icon, select dialler, type in my password and connect, i was wondering if there is a firefox extension or add-in that could do this for me.
sorry if this is in the wrong place and thanks in advance.
Is there anyway of getting portable firefox to run firefox called iexplore.exe? I have looked in the config files called PortableFirefox.ini and PortableFirefox.nsi but I got a Firefox.exe not found error... please help me out, cheers.
Would it be possible to include an option or something to the PortableFirefox launcher that would add a line to the user.js file in the profile directory?
Firefox is running fine from my USB key, but it's very sluggish when I have caching turned on (and it causes a lot of writes to the key, which apparently isn't very good for it). I've tried turning caching off, but that makes FF sluggish as well.
Ok, maybe it should work this way, but I thought otherwise, especially since last release with improvements in stability.
I'm running Portable Firefox from USB-drive and it works alright. At the end of the day I would unplug USB-drive (app is still running) and go home. Next day, the app is still there, I plug drive back in and continue working.
Some time during that (next) day Firefox app crashes, even though drive is plugged in and everything is working fine. This happens pretty much every day and I'm not sure whether it's a problem or feature by design.
I have a problem getting my themes to work for my pFF.
Every time I download one from addons.mozilla.com, it will show up in the themes window with a message to restart Firefox to use.
However, when I DO restart Firefox, the theme dissapears from the list.
I checked the profile folder in my flash disk, and it is there, but it seems that Firefox can't read it.
Any help?
BTW, this is on a Sandisk cruzer micro with 512MB on Windows XP, no extensions yet.
