I would like to propose a (optional) feature:

Fix drive letters in "pluginreg.dat" to keep information about disabled state of plugins from portable device (flash/java works fine when portable).

I have a university project in which I have to investigate creating my university's own flavour of Firefox, which won't be used or distributed to anyone other than a specific student group. I'm quite interested in using Firefox Portable, however after some looking around it looks as if others have wanted to change things such as splash screens, and they've run into issues in terms of legality.

So a little while ago I created a thread (under a different username that I didn't realize I wasn't supposed to have) about not being able to use the Google Earth plugin with Firefox Portable.

I was asking about why when I put the plugin into the portable plugins folder, Firefox found it, but Google Maps said there was an error.

This was 1 to 1.5 weeks ago. I searched four different forums, and a I used the search feature, and I can't seem to find it. It ought to be under the Firefox forum.

I am just an idiot, or is it really not there?

As we know, FF4b10 is not currently available for download. However I saw you have recently published, in the beta10 page of this site, the following notice:

--Beta 9 is available and may be auto-updated to Beta 10--

Which could be a perfect solution of the "problem" to all people who have already downloaded and installed beta9. My beta9, actually, has already asked me to let it update to beta10.

Hi everyone:

I tried whole night is testing firefox portable.

After installed , there is a firefox portable.exe, of course , which is open firefox.

However in the APP->firefox folder, there is other firefox.exe and I clicked, it run as other profile, and I can not find out what is diffrent.

In the APP->firefox folder-> firefox.exe, I can not see any other profile forder for it.

Please tell me, if you know that both firefox.exe the diffrence

I tried to use FirefoxPortable 2nd profile with Firefox 4 beta 10 which is installed in FirefoxPortableTest folder.
I found a file FirefoxPortable.ini in which there is a setting "FirefoxDirectory=..\..\FirefoxPortable\App\firefox" so i changed it to "FirefoxDirectory=..\..\FirefoxPortableTest\App\firefox" and tried putting it in different folder but no matter where i put it it wouldn't work.

For some reason the built in media player for Xm/Sirius radio does not work with my Firefox. Any particular reason why I would be able to get all the way to the playershell but it just won't play?

I see there's an issue with FFPortable and Thunderbird Portable. But I'm not using Thunderbird Portable -- I just want the mailto links in FFPortable to open a composition window in Thunderbird, which is my default email client. But I get the "Thunderbird is already running . . ." message, instead of a composition window. (And it is my default client. FF, Chrome and all my other applications are recognizing it as such.)

I've searched the support page and can't find any who may have the same problem that am having. According to the privacy FAQ, none should have been written to the C:\ drive so am wanting to know what's causing this.

Am using Firefox Portable from PortableaApps and I let Firefox update whenever it want to. Currently am on Firefox 3.6.13. Just noticed that everytime I run Firefox it creates the directory C:\WINNT\Profiles\\Application Data\Mozilla, is this normal or expected behaviour of the portable version?
