[Closed] AllowMultipleInstances doesn't work after the 120.0.1 update!
The last known working version is 117.0.x...
Hopefully there's a work around, otherwise I will revert back to 117.

I've just tried out Firefox 115.4.0 legacy...When I try to start it on my Win 7 system, I get an error message stating 'Firefox 116 and later require Win 10.....run Firefox legacy 115 instead'
When I press yes, it produces the same message.
I have had to go into the Firefox64 directory to start Firefox from where it starts normally.
Also, I have downloaded the legacy and the ESR version of Firefox, As I'm using the legacy version, do I need the ESR version?
Thanks.
Hello:
When I click on Help and then About Firefox I see the message 'Checking for updates' and then I get 'Failed to check for updates'
I have manually installed FF 115.3.1 and know 115.4.0 is available. Using Win10 and FireFox is on a portable USB stick
Here are the Enterprise Policies.
FF Portable 115.4.0esr (but also going back to at least 115.x.x if not older versions) Win7SP1 x64
For various purposes, I used to drag 'n drop shortcuts from FF URL bar, into folders. That stopped working after a FF update. Researching it, I found it worked again by launching FF portable with -no-deelevate on the shortcut to it.
For years I've been running multiple instances of Firefox portable with no problem. As of version 119.0, I've run into an odd situation... if any other instance (BTW all instances are the same portable version) is launched after the primary instance (the one I always have running) it just opens another window of the same primary instance. Which is obviously a problem because the primary instance is the one always running. However, if I launch one of my secondary Firefox portables first (ones I only use ocassionally), then my primary one will launch as it should.
I got an error upon upgrading from 115.0.3.1 to FirefoxPortableESR_115.4.0_English.paf.exe on windows 8.1. "Firefox 116 and later requires Windows 10 or later. Would you like to run Firefox Legacy 115 instead?" answering yes launches 115.0.2.
I'm running Win7 with FF ESR 115.3.1 portable and wondering what's the difference between that and FF Legacy 115.x?
Thanks, John.
Whenever Firefox Portable detects a new update, when I open Firefox after the update is complete, Firefox performs the update again!!
Why??
I just updated from FF Portable 117 to 118.0.2 (64-bit), and I'm seeing the following problem.
I have FF Portable set as my default app for URLs. Usually it is already running (I start it right after rebooting my PC). In 117 and earlier, when I click a link in Thunderbird, a new tab is opened in Firefox Portable. With 118, I get the dialog that says: "Firefox is already running, but is not responding. The old Firefox process must be closed to open a new window."
Greetings,
I have an issue with FirefoxPortableESR 115.3.1: every time I change the "browser.privacySegmentation.createdShortcut" pref's value from TRUE to FALSE, it always returns back to TRUE after each restart. Is it a bug or a feature? The values of other prefs changed successfully and stayed like that after browser restart.
I tried changing the value of this pref on regular (non-portable) Firefox ESR 115.3.1, and everything worked fine.
