Thunderbird Portable

Whenever I open TB, it goes unresponsive and says "not responding" in the title bar. I've done multiple installs. It works fine until I add my GMail address, and then after I complete the steps to check my GMail, it won't open properly..

I currently use Thunderbord Portable on my USB drive with satisfaction. But for some weeks I have been wondering if it could be possible to use it from a cloud storage. I know this is a popular discussion already discussed, but I couldn't find a post expressly dedicated, at least about Thunderbird.

I mean:

Imagine that I move my Thunderbird Portable directory (i.e. my whole application) from USB drive to a Cloude storage (Ubuntu One, for example, to which I am registered).

Do you plan on Portable Apps releases for 10.0.5 thru 10.0.8?

The GPG extension for Thunderbird portable is not compatible with TB portable v12. I get an error when I try to open TB. If i remove the GPG folder in the App folder, TB will open correctly.

I get this error when trying to install the lightning (Calendar) add-on.

I noticed that a lot of plugins are installed on my ThunderbirdPortable. Since the client is very, very slow, I wonder if this could depend on this (also on the fact that my USB drive is quite old).

What's your opinion?

Typically I want to open more than one program. At present the menu closes to the task bar and I have to click the running apps bottom right again (what used to be the system tray.
It would be more helpful if there was an option whereby the menu stayed open until the mouse is no longer over the menu area.
I think maybe that is how it used to work.

Ouch, horrible.
I got an email containing Exploit:HTML/IframeRef.gen.
MSSE deleted it but this involved deleting the entire single file
Local Folders\Inbox
containing many other healthy communications.
Luckily, but purely incidentally, I had backed up Inbox two days preciously, but still lost 48H of email.

Thunderbird keeps prompting to upgrade to 11.0.1 but it is not on Portable Apps so the upgrade will be the installed version.

Usually Portable Apps upgrades are immediate or just a day or so behind but this one is about a week or more ago.

Does anyone know why there is a delay this time please?

i've got a problem. there was an automatic update with thunderbird protable. the version 11.0 was installed. but then there was no thunderbird10x-profile. so all my emails since february are away. can anybody help me, to find where my emails are??
