Thunderbird Portable

*sigh*
I'm getting terribly frustrated with my Thunderbird Portable.
I've been using it correctly - exiting, using the Portable Apps exit so I can keep it from corrupting.

But yesterday all the message filters for one of my accounts simply disappeared. Not to mention the retention rules for the folders.
Today? All the filters for the second account and all of the folders I created for it are gone.

Anyone else getting this type of error?

Aol usually logs in and lists (although it takes some time frequently) But the sent mail filing hangs 9 times out of 10 and states it cannot list as sent, would you like to keep a copy? Why is it that it can do it some of the time? If it has the ability to log on the server as sent once, what is the issue the other times?

Although this problem has come about with Firefox 14.0, I'm reporting it as a TB bug for reasons that will become clear as you read on. I've also reported it as a bug to Mozilla.

I have two machines which both run Firefox (non-portable version) as default browser. Up to and including Firefox 13, if I clicked on a URL in an email in Thunderbird (portable) with Firefox already running on the machine, a new tab would open showing that URL, as expected.

I tried to install the French version of Thunderbird 14 but the installation fails and gives this error message :

L'instruction à "0x003a18cb" emploie l'adresse mémoire "0x001ab000".
La mémoire ne peut pas être "read"

The English version works perfectly.

My OS : Windows XP SP3 fully updated.

with the Tb 14.0 it is the same situation since 12.0.1. i live now in venezuela and use portabeApps under linux and windows. with windows i have no problem.

but the infocentros, public computer centers, use linux with different distribution. debian direkt, ubuntu on debian, canaima on debian. since 12.0.1 all versions breaks.

we use wine 1.01, 1.2, 1.3. in all systems it is the same. wine 1.4 never i check. maybe, there is the problem.

have you some information about? and some tips, what we can do?

make thunderbird portable default client under any circunstance

I try many times TB portable to be the email default client, but under IE or Firefox don't go and appear Microsoft Outlook.

How can I do this ?
In the windows registry perhaps ?

Can somebody tell me why portable GPG memorize created keys in the C:\Documents and Settings\user\Application Data\gnupg directory
and not in the ThunderbirdPortable profile directory?
How it is possible to fix it?
I am working with Thunderbird 14.0 and GPGPortable 1.4.12 and Enigmail 1.4.3

Scenario:
I have a longish email that I've already sent to a long list of recipients, it's now in my Sent folder. Now I want to resend it to another group of recipients, so I use the "Edit as new" function. However, and this is the point, I cannot find a way of deleting all the "old" recipients before inserting the "new" ones - like Ctrl+A in Windows and then delete them all in one go.

I have TBPortable installed in my cloud Dropbox folder. Sometimes the inbox of an account is DELETED, and i lose all my mail. This happens not so often, but it is anyhow annoying.

When this happen, the 'Inbox' File of the corrupted profile becomes 0kb and the TB inbox folder of that profile becomes empty.

The last time i had this error has been after receiving the following error while downloading new messages:

'The folder Inbox is full, and can't hold any more messages. To make room for more messages, delete any old or unwanted mail and compact the folder.'
