Links does not open browser

Submitted by mlun on October 23, 2010 - 4:03am

When I hover over a link in TB the cursor changes to a hand and the link is displayed at the bottom of the screeen, but nothing happens when I press the link. I use TB-portable, Google Chrome portable and IE, and TB-Portable has been set a my default browser, but nothing happens. So everytime I have to open a link, I manually copy the link location into the browser and sees it this way. But that is starting to get a bit tedious Smile

Work email on TB

Submitted by chris_elevate on October 21, 2010 - 6:27pm

Hi,

I'm currently using outlook for my work email and leaving them on the server.

I was thinking of swapping to TB and I wondered a couple if things...

Can the personal settings such as folders etc be stored on a network and then accessed by different machines I work on?

Can the portable version in TB access these settings?

Is there anyway these settings could be stored on webserver?

Can you set TB so it leaves a copy of the mail in the server?

Can you import an email list like one I've got in outlook?

Thanks

Make Thunderbird Portable default email program on Windows 7 ???

Submitted by ErinW on October 8, 2010 - 12:52pm

I have Thunderbird Portable installed in my DropBox folder. This way I have access to my email no matter if I'm using my desktop at home or my netbook on the road.

Any time there's a situation where you "click here to send an email", Windows 7 thinks I want to use Outlook. I don't want to use Outlook, I want to use Thunderbird.

How can I get Windows 7 to understand this? Because of the installation location (I think - ??? ), Windows is not listing Thunderbird on the list of applications available to set as the default email program.

Help???

Post-upgrade: Filters Not Running

Submitted by jsgenthe on October 7, 2010 - 2:39pm

I upgraded to the latest 3 version but my filters will not run. The correct information is there but when I click "Run" nothing happens. I tried creating a new filter (thinking it might be some sort of problem transferring the filter info) and it still didn't work. I noticed on this forum there is another user having problems with filters, but his seems to be a bit different. Also, do I have to set manual or automatic for each filter? My older version didn't have this. I prefer to run the filters occasionally to clean my inbox.
