115.2.3 became available this afternoon. If you have automatic updates turned off, you'll have to Check for Updates and accept the update (if desired). I see no problems in it, and the release notes report some very good fixes. If you have the Portable Apps app, you'll get 115.2.3.

Calendar Time

Updated TB 08/Sep via the 26.1 platform o Windows 10 but TB 115.2.0 calendar now insists that event times are 2 hours later than they had originally been set: a previously set 12:00 appointment is now being displayed as a 14:00 appointment.

It makes no difference if I continue to use the system timezone or set it manually before re-starting TB.

Well, as we wait for the devs to figure out how to do auto-updates from 102.x to 115+.x, they've released a new version, contrary to what they said a while back:

From Thunderbird.net, 02 August 2023;
"Thunderbird 102.14.0, scheduled for release on July 30, 2023, is the final release of Thunderbird 102."
Users of Thunderbird 102.13 went to 102.14 running if they accepted the update.

Now, today, 30 August 2023, this:
Thunderbird 102.15.0, is the final release of Thunderbird 102.

AUP#Out-1500 send failure, Spectrum ISP

Submitted by tnsi on August 30, 2023 - 11:09am

Recently used Starlink connection on a trip, I could only send on first registered Spectrum (@twc.com) email address, not on the secondary twc.com email address. When got home and connected to my Spectrum ISP, could send again on both addresses for few weeks.
Last week reverted to AUP#Out-1500 msg when sending on second email. Spectrum 'tech' no help. Using TB 3.1 since 2012 with no issues. Not a mobile user so have not wanted, nor needed, to upgrade.

Thunderbird Portable Beta 117b3 issue

I installed TBird 116 Test a few days ago, and it updated successfully through a first 117 version to the current 117.0b3. But today I noticed that if I double-click a message in my Archives folder (in Local Folders), a Composition (Write) window opens, instead of a reading tab or window. This happens on both my office desktops, both Windows 11 Pro 22h2 2134, with Thunderbird Beta Test installed to my programs & data drive, not on my C:\ drive on either PC.

I installed the current (John T Haller) 116 beta test version yesterday, and it ran beautifully right out-of-the-box. Then I checked Help > About and promptly took an update. Worked flawlessly. Today, another update, and it's working perfectly. From portable 116.0bx to 117.0b3 in two days. Thank you, John T.

T'Bird 102 and google calendar

Submitted by dsl101 on July 26, 2023 - 12:10pm

I'm running 102.13.0 and would like to use it primarily for managing a set of google calendars and task lists—I don't need it for mail.

I installed the provider-for-google-calendar addon and successfully authenticated with my google account, and was able to interact with the calendar & tasks as expected. But every time I restart TB, I have to re-authenticate with google again. I did make sure the "Don't ask again on this device" was checked.

Thunderbird 115 (Supernova) and plans for T'bird 102...

Submitted by joetron2030 on July 26, 2023 - 10:13am

I got a notification in Thunderbird that 102.13.1 is available for download. When I clicked on the link to see the release notes, there was a note that Supernova is now available.

I'm curious to know if there will be a 102.13.1 portable update and if work has started on a portable version of 115?

Thanks so much for all of the work you do, John, to make Thunderbird Portable available.
