Thunderbird Portable

After upgrading to version 5 it no longer works. I Cannot get mail! All accounts have been deleted. I Cannot add them in again. Under account settings (all blank)! Clicked on account actions, add mail account, nothing! History, during installation all .dll files would not install. I clicked ignore on all of them. I have re-installed the software again still the same issue all .dll files would not install! This time I manually renamed the files that it wanted to install. Same issue program is dead?

I upgraded from Thunderbird 3 to 5 via the PortableApps Updater. After updating Thunderbird told me (unexpectedly) that some of my plugins weren't compatible. I performed a check for extension updates, applied the updates, restarted Thunderbird and all was well.

The next day I attached my drive to a different computer and Thunderbird was telling me again that the extensions weren't compatible. I followed the same procedure of updating and everything was fine and posted the issue on the release announcement page.

the send email have 30000 email end msf is 4.2GB

I'm thinking that being a TB portable version has a limit of 4.3GB files to fat32

This happened in 5.b1 also. I think it has happened in FFX 5.? but I'm not quite sure. Anyhow, it appears that the Mozilla Thunderbird Updater does not recognize the Portable version properly. Or, something. Anyhow, I am running TB5.b2Portable and I keep getting prompted to upgrade to 5.b2.

I am using MS Outlook 2003, now I want to change to Thunderbird Portable.
I downloaded the to Thunderbird Portable and went to Tools-> Import.
I took nearly 2 hrs to complete 7 GB data from Outlook to Thunderbird Portable.

But after this, I cant open the Outlook emails in Thunderbird Portable, and all of sudden found nothing in Thunderbird Portable which I imported from Outlook. It’s show just 38 MB size.
Where the 7GB data is imported from Outlook?

I tried twice, it’s the same result.

How can I import from Outlook to Thunderbird Portable and use it?
Please help soon

Hello, i have read that the last Thunderbird Portable 5.0 beta 1 could be updated from PortableApps platform 2.0 beta5.

Now i have Thunderbird Portable 3.1.10 on the PortableApps platform 2.0 beta5 but if i click on "manage apps" and then "check for updates" the program say "your portable apps are up to date".

So i cant be able to update Thunderbird on my platform.. there's a bug or i miss something? any advice to solve this issue?

I right now got thunderbird on my computer, and i would like to get all my accounts (got 4 atm) and all mail to my thumbdrive.

then i would like to have the app in swedish or is there any language pack to download?

I installed and reinstalled portable thunderbird 3.1.10 on a networked drive. It is not working at all. I continue to receive the message :"Mozilla Thunderbird, Portable Edition cannot be started. You may wish to re-install to fix this issue. (ERROR: thunderbird.exe could not be found)".

Did somebody have any idea how to make it work?

Filters don't obey

Some emails goes to a folder with star and purple color tag.
I have tried to filter to another folder but don't obey me.

I observed when I create the filter from the message in the message filter window that a number appear in the name : 4,5,6......,11, etc.
Then I observed that the same filter is operated one and one more with no result because I continue receiving these emails in the same folder.

No change.

What can I do ?

I have tried to compact and repair folders with not succeed.
