Firefox Portable

Why from addons.mozilla the file name for the current NoScript
Extension is,
noscript-1.8.5-fx+sm+fn.xpi

But from the No Script website it is,
noscript-1.8.5.xpi

They both seem to be the same file size.
Does this have something to do with people just like to make
conflicts or something like that ?

Reminds me of making maps and textures in Unreal 1.

I was thinking that it might be helpful if PA.com had a list of validated firefox extensions that have been checked and verified to work with the portable version.

If not on the main site itself then how about a Stickied forum topic like the FAQs thread.

clicking add-ons in my portable firefox (installed on a flash drive and on a usb hard drive) shows both version 8 and version 10 (the current) installed, but going to a page with flash content, only version 8 plays. when i disable version 8 in add-ons, leaving version 10 enabled, nothing will play! i tried installing the extension per your plug-in page, but it says it failed because "install script not found".

any help? i do want to be able to see flash content, but am loathe to continue running version 8 (which works fine in ff portable) for security reasons. thanx.

The latest version of Video Downloadhelper has an option to convert videos, but the converter has to be installed. Has anyone made this more compatible with Portable Firefox?

I try to use Google Caendar offline, instaling Google Gears on FirefoxPortable
(this way https://portableapps.com/node/7364) and Gears is instaled good.

When I login to Calendar I can't use Gears (can't add Calendar site to Gears).

What am I doing wrong?

P.S.I try FF 2 & 3, clear and with other addons.

My portable copy of 3.0.4 has Flashblock 1.5.7 and Fireshot 0.61 installed. Both report that they are "Not compatible with Firefox 3.0.4"

However, the non-portable 3.0.4 which I installed on my desktop as a test installed both extensions with no difficulty.

Is it just me or does FF Portable 3.0.4 seem to run very slowly?

I downloaded the new gmail plugin which allow us to chat and use webcam, it's great btw.
But it requires stupid regkeys to work.
Would it be possible to include those entries in next launcher ?

You know how FF tells you about phishing sites, etc. Well how do you report a site to FF if it's not in their DB? I stumble across scam sites from time to time and FF doesn't warn me about them so I assume they're not in FF's DB. So is there a way I can submit these sites?
