Hi, i want this thing to run from autorun.inf. from my usb stick...
But it wont work..
How can i make the 'H:\PortableApps\Start.exe' run by autorun.ini ?
.
I have found no way to do it.
Please i need help.
WindowsXP, Sp3.
Just installed OpenOffice. When I try to open any sub-app, I get to the registration screen and check the register box, but the "Next" button remains gray. Only the "Finish" and "Cancel" buttons are active. It does not allow me to register and does not allow me to use the app.
I just installed Portable Apps and the open office portable tonight. It asked to register but then needs Java Runtime so I install the Jportable but that does not satisfy Open Office so I search and find the info about copying Java from my C:\program files\java to the common folder.
NOTHING is working so far. Seems like it should be simple enough. I'm running Windows 7. Does it need to run on something older like XP or win98?
Any news on how this is progressing? There is already a portable version at winPenPack, so I'm looking forward to one from here.
Hi,
I use OOo ver 3.0.0. on a pendrive.
Someone suggested upgrading because printing, notes, and handouts have been improved.
Advice please.
Os is Windows Vista, 32bit
I´d like to create a multimedia application where the user can make some choices. e.g. push a button to remember something (variables) and make the application use this note later to continue differently.
The finished product shell be used easily on other computers.
Powerpoint has all the tools but once packed and viewed by the viewer macros are automaticly disabled.

The Apache Foundation has released OpenOffice 3.4. Will PortableApps release the new version, or are there still legal impediments to the use of the name?
We have Open Office portable bundled along with our application server to view office documents as pdf files.
We would like to use it to open up PDF files as well. Is it possible to install PDF import extension silently?
We don't want cutomers to launch open office to add the extension. Rather import the extension via a script or something.
If so how do we do it.
