It takes nearly two minutes for me to be able to use OpenOffice after I start it. Granted, I do run it on USB 1.1 at work, but even so. Is there anything that can be done to reduce the loading time?
I've been debating creating launchers for each so you can have one icon for each, just like on a local install. Is there interest in this?
it'll be nice if it was possible to download just "Writer" (or "Calc",...).
thx
Since the Open Office Dev team are releasing beta and RC build what would I need to do inorder to use the Launcher that you/John T. Haller has made but replacing the OO 2.0 suite with the most recent 2.0.1 RC4 build?
Many thanks,
Your work in portable apping is much apreciated and well put to use.

First of all many thanks for your work!
My problem: I'd like to have Portable OOo2 in my own language (Italian), so I tried to compress it using Upx (both the stable and the beta versions), but I didn't get any appreciable result: I've only saved about 5MB from 200MB!
*jar files seems to be already recompressed...where's my mistake?
First of all thanks for your work... it's great to have all these great apps being self-contained on their folder, for portability and other reasons
I wanted to ask if there is a way to directly launch swriter/scalc/simpress,etc through PortableOpenOffice.exe (ie using command line options)?
Thanks,
Mguel
