Create a package with chromium, java and Openoffice

Submitted by keshav26 on July 9, 2015 - 10:14am

Hello Everyone,

I am creating a package with ChromiumPortable, JPortable and OpenOfficePortable.

I have already created a package with ChromiumPortable and JPortable everything is working perfectly thanks to PortableApps TEAM.

My problem now is that I am looking a way to add HKLM registry keys in the OpenOfficePortable app or ChromiumPortable app.

For example:

In a normal situation, I 'll be installing Chromium, Java and Openoffice separately and add chose registry key below on the PC

Can't open another file if OpenOffice is already running

Submitted by AriesMu on May 29, 2015 - 12:20pm

Hello everyone!

First of all I wanted to congratulate for your great and useful job with portable OpenOffice!

This problem I am reporting occurs with version 4.1.1:

If I open a file (for example a Calc file or a .doc document), thus OpenOffice is already running, and then I double click on another OpenOffice file of any type from Windows Explorer, I receive this error:

"another Apache OpenOffice is running"

So the thing is that, instead of just opening the second file, it tries to re-open the whole OpenOffice thing every time!

Update OpenOffice 3.2.0 with Apache Open Office 4.1.1

Submitted by PortableUser2009 on April 16, 2015 - 12:49pm

Hi John,

today the automatic update tried to update OpenOffice 3.2.0 with Apache Open Office 4.1.1.
The Update failed and after that OpenOffice 3.2.0 didn't work any more.

That should not happen. Is this update possible anyway or doesn't it make sense to try this.
In the second case the update should be improved to avoid trouble.

Kind regards

Sheldon

OpenOffice Not Finding JAVA + Windows 7 Ult 64X

OpenOffice Not Finding JAVA + Windows 7 Ult 64X
I've now encountered this problem several times; I get an error message when OpenOffice starts and I am unable to bypass it. I have to force quit the program, UN-install and re-install it.The exact error msg stats something to the fact of OpenOffice not being able to find Java under the Path 'Tools>Options>Java Use a Java Run-time Environment'.

This wouldn't be so irritating but; I have ton's of add-on's and it takes awhile re-install each one.
