SystemExplorer 3.0.0 error message

Submitted by Secret_Agent_86 on June 28, 2011 - 5:27pm

When I click on the minimize icon or try to close the program through the task bar icon I get an error message that says 'Access violation at address 00581434 in module 'SystemExplorer.exe'. Read of address 000002AC.'

This happened after I upgraded from 2.9.1 to 3.0.0. I do not get the message after downgrading.

[Fixed] Gramps 3.3.x will not start and may need to be pulled

Submitted by MichaelDW on June 27, 2011 - 8:48am

The 3.3.x updates of Gramps only show the portable launcher briefly.
The main program never runs, and I have waited just in case it was a slow load.
But I don't think it is that as I have waited up to 10 minutes.
And I have never noticed anything appearing in the task manager, other then the portable launcher.
This has happened on both local and fresh installs as well as upgrades.

The only thing that has worked is a 'rollback' to 3.2.6 .

I am on Win 7 64 SP1, 8 GB Ram

Opera not really portable.

I'm having trouble with Opera - it doesn't seem to be truly portable.
On installation via the portable apps interface it references the firefox plugin folder for the logged-in user, and creates folders in the user profile's 'appdata', and in '%systemdrive%:\program data'.
Anyone else had this problem? How can I stop/rectify it? (I'm running Win7)
With thanks.

PhotoFiltre Portable - plugins location vs PA.c Updater

Submitted by legnakrad on June 21, 2011 - 3:20pm

hello

this is the location of the plugins
\PortableApps\PhotoFiltrePortable\App\PhotoFiltre\Plugins

there is no specific PA.c pakage for the plugins so i just download it from the PhotoFiltre site and extracted them into that location

when updating a future release of PhotoFiltre Portable using the PA.c Updater will i loose the plugins or will be kept ?
