Hi, I try to download last version of PNotes Portable and have the surprise for the firs time on portableapps.com to see that my antivirus software (Bitdefender Total Security 2011) detect a virus. So I'm not sure that is the case or is a fals positive. Anyoane have problems with this version 6.5 ? I will contact also the support team for Bitdefender to find out what their opinion is. Thanks.

P.S. I try again on 2 diferent computers with Bitdefender Total Security 2010 and the results are identical. Same virus detection.

Hey there, 2 things, I would like to have as much information as possible for which exact file was removed, so I can find it in my hoard of files and delete it. And IF possible explain what (error in the verion.) means ?..I believe it was meant to say version, but what ?

So I've read the thread on why ChromePortable cannot update itself and understand that. In the thread, which was from back in April, there was mention of waiting for Portable Apps Updater, which is part of the menu now. But I've run the Updater and it finds nothing to update on Chrome6, which probably means that it only checks for updates of PA.c releases. That makes sense also. And we really can't expect the developer to keep up with Googles random and frequent updates.

I just want to use chrome as a portable app, but I can't neither edit proxy settings nor connect to internet, whether it is possible with Portable FF...

Many chinese users are annoying at this problem.
When I use Chromium Portable,I found Google Pinyin 2(A chinese input method) cannot launch at all,but when I close Chromium Portable,the input method is OK then.
When I use Chromium,no problem at all.
So I think maybe there's something wrong with ChromiumPortable.exe

Chrome is supposed to sync all kinds of things, including extensions. This is working perfectly on hard drive installed systems--even between different operating systems. But extensions are not syncing on portable. Bookmarks are, but not extensions. I have completely uninstalled & reinstalled, but with no success.

Any suggestions?

I ahve a file called
qtsingleapp-pokert-2b1b-0-lockfile

left in

C:\Docs and settings\username\Lokale Einstellungen\Temp
on every run. It reappears if I delete it but stays if I dont. I think its empty but I havent checked.
I'm on Win XPSP3.
Is anyone else having this?

I am using the portable google chrome 5 now and i would like to update to chrome 6.

How do I backup the extention , or I change to chrome 6 ,i do need reinstall all extentions again ?

I'm pulling out my hair here....

With no proxy defined, my winwget (latest build) gives me a nice error msg - host not resolved.

when I enter the proxy it still goes to error status but adds a blank line to the log file. I can type whatever I like into the proxy setting, but I still just get error and a blank line in the log.

given that I know how to type in the proxy address properly, how am I supposed to fix it when the error log gives me no clue....
