Skype public chat

Submitted by freekarol on October 17, 2010 - 8:18am

It seems that Skype public chat since 4.0 has been disabled on Windows. Does it mean that previous versions of Skype will work? Does it mean that public chat using Skype works just on Mac and Linux? Thanks for your anwsers.

Opera not working (none of em)

OperaPortable.exe starts, but opera.exe does not on the test version. On the official version, opera.exe starts but never shows, and it remains at 00 until I kill it.

look: you see OperaPortable.exe but not opera.exe (that is on the test version, for the regular version, just imaging opera.exe but no window on the task bar)

Why?

It worked at school just fine (both versions) I deleted my Data folder and tried again and it still failed.

SMPlayer Portable 0.6.9 Question

Submitted by VIC-20 on October 9, 2010 - 3:58pm

Since I have never used this program before, I decided to try it out in the portable format.

I downloaded and installed both it and the SMPlayer Codecs add-on successfully; however, when I tried to play an audio CD from the Open menu, that option is greyed out.

Now, am I missing something or are you only able to play video files with this player?

Please, do tell.

Thanks in advance for any and all assistance.

Opera Portable 10.62 not saving settings

Submitted by Razma on October 8, 2010 - 11:50am

Hi, my problem is the following:
When I start Opera Portable (10.62) it runs by default in English. When I change it to Spanish all goes fine, but when I closes it and the opens it again, it runs in English again.
What is weird is that I've changed the start page and imported my Firefox's bookmarks and that don't have any problems.
