Why RunAsAdmin=force not working?

Submitted by domecc on September 4, 2010 - 9:55pm

I'm making Unloker Portable Launch with PortableApps.comLauncher_2.0. I've configured RunAsAdmin=force in the AppInfo\Launcher\UnlockerPortable.ini.

When I click the UnlockerPortable in PortableApps.com Platform, the launcher let me run as admin, but it's not working. Unless I right click the UnlockerPortable and select Run as Admin, it work.

What's wrong? Why RunAsAdmin=force not working?

Google Chrome 5.0.375.127

Submitted by 8ball on August 19, 2010 - 11:35pm

has been released to the stable channel,
while you're on it, how about updating the developer's channel as well ? it's been a long time and the dev version is fairly outdated.

you said the dev channel may be delayed a few days, it's been a few weeks !! I actually test chrome and report bugs and I'm stuck with an outdated version, please.

I guess you're working on the next platform beta6, how about "hiring" someone else to take care of Chrome (dev) since it has rapid updates ?

Command Line Switch for Tunnelier Portable

Submitted by OldManLee on August 18, 2010 - 6:15am

I'm trying to get my Tunnelier to launch using the -loginOnStartup switch.

Whilst running the .exe using the RUN menu with the switch works, it doesn't quite work when I use the PortableApps Menu Launcher as I'm not sure how to pass the swtich to the software.

I've tried searching in the forums and found some clues to creating a TunnelierPortable.ini and placing it within the TunnelierPortable.exe folder with a setting inside "AdditionalSettings=-loginOnStartup" as well as "AdditionalParameters=-loginOnStartup" but both doesn't work.

[Fixed] SkypePortable folder regenerating after deleted.

Submitted by scriptdaemon on August 18, 2010 - 2:44am

I used SkypePortable on my desktop for a bit until I finally got down to installing the official build to my computer. I deleted the SkypePortable folder from my desktop and every time I run Skype from the shortcut the official install created in the start menu, it keeps regenerating the SkypePortable folder on my dekstop.

KVIrc 4.0.2

Submitted by VIC-20 on August 10, 2010 - 12:01pm

I'm wondering if anyone else is having or had any issues running KVIrc 4.0.2?

I am running a fully updated XP Home SP3 system and when I try to run this latest version, I get the normal PortableApps splash screen, but the program itself then fails to load.

I had no issues with KVIrc v4.0.0, so I'm back to using that version for now.
