MiniVMac

Submitted by rspiteri on September 14, 2006 - 2:36am

Hi, i just managed to function mac-on-stick however i cannot find disk images to run on it. In the sourceforge page there are many links to software (games etc) but the files are either saved in hqx, sea or bin. When i use stuff it expander, it extracts the file to 0 Kb or else to a filename without the extension and when i drag them to minivmac it says that it is not a macintosh disk.

Is there a site where there are free disk images? Or a program that can handle well the compressed disk images in order to decompress them and load them in minivmac?

thanks.

Roboform2Go Stole drive name Need Help

Submitted by dford3772 on September 2, 2006 - 11:01am

I am stumped thanks to fiddling with an app I should never have touched. I installed
RoboForm2Go decided I hated it and deleted what I thought was everything. Was I
wrong!!! It stole my drive name though there is nothing of it visible on the root directory.

This drive was all set with the new Pstart autorun and I want it back. The drive now says RoboForm2Go(L:) and all the items loaded still come up as well as pstart autorun
I want to go back to the Pstart icon and whatever it said on the drive name. Will I
have to re-install Pstart to get it back.

I know I should have backed up and I have learned my lesson.

WinSCP ( SSH, SFTP, SCP and PuTTY client )

Just realized that you've completely overlooked this most excellent portable app. I've been using it daily, on my USB drive, ever since I've owned it -- and well before I discovered PFF/FFP. Works great! It even allows you to run PuTTY in a window!

WinSCP is an open source freeware SFTP client for Windows using SSH. Legacy SCP protocol is also supported. Its main function is safe copying of files between a local and a remote computer.

Download it here:

I use the "Standalone application" -- Norton Commander style...

To make it TOTALLY portable:

Firefox Portable for MAC OS X - FirefoxPortable.app

Submitted by phillyboy on August 5, 2006 - 7:07am

I am having tremendous success with Firefox Portable for Windows. However, I am new with Application Development on MAC OS, and I want to accomplish the same success using Firefox Portable for MAC OS X.

My questions are:

1.) How was FirefoxPortable.app built, compiled, and generated?
2.) Is there a FirefoxPortable.nsi version for Firefox Portable for MAC?
3.) If 2,) is yes, what editor and installer was used to accomplish this? Is it NSIS?
4.) I believe the NSIS Installer is for Windows only. Is there an installer like NSIS that can be used to build, compile, and generate a .app extension? If so what and where is it? If not, what can I use?
