I've been running GnuCash Portable for quite some time, however, ever since at least the 2.6.x version it now takes a Really. Long. Time. To. Save. Like over 2 minutes to saves my file. My main account file is only 590KB, so I'm really perplexed as to what could take so long for it to save.

A description of my entire situation:

1. The drive is a 64GB Transcend USB 3.0 flash drive. In a USB 3.0 port, I can regularly read files at 80+MB/sec & writes are easily 40MB/sec. It flies. This USB drive goes back & forth daily between the 2 machines described below.

A while ago, I downloaded Assault Cube Portable and it ran fine on my computer, although occasionally it would load with a framerate issue so I had to restart it. Then the framerate was this way every time I would load the game. I assume it must have been an update that caused this but recently I wanted to play again but I cannot because of this issue. Is there a place where I can download previous releases of Assault Cube or is there another cause?

SMPlayerPortable 14.3.0 creates and leaves this Registry Key (and sub-keys) behind after first run:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Trolltech\

Registry key, and sub-keys, are not created if "imageformats" folder (containing "qjpeg4.dll" file) is removed.
But, removing "imageformats" folder causes that Youtube Browser can't show video thumbnails.

There is a major upgrade available for Listary. I just got Portable Apps and chose to get 144 apps. The installer downloaded/installed Listary, version 3.5, even though version 4+ was already out. Why was that? I also noticed after running the command "Check for Updates" that Listary still was not upgraded. Why is keeping this app (or any other app, for that matter) from getting upgraded?

Another question: if I go out and upgrade Listary "manually" will it mess up the Portable Apps system, that is, the way everything is set up and organized?

GoogleChromePortable 34 is the last version that will run on my XP (SP3) computer. The 35 version appears to install OK (no error messages), but attempting to run it gives the usual exception message that a problem has been encountered and needs to close, wants to report it to MS, etc.

It seems that this is caused because Google Chrome has cut off support for older processors. My version 34 has a line at top of browser saying: "This computer will soon stop receiving Google Chrome updates because its hardware is no longer supported. Learn more." I've installed Iron now for the first time.

When the computer has booted and I try to start Iron I always get on error message that another instance ist still running.

The task manager shows that chome.exe is running.

How can I deactivate this autostart (the option for running background apps isn't active!)?

I don't post here often, but I decided I needed a quick sticky note app on my laptop to paste snippets to, or quick 'DO THIS LATER' notes etc...
My company's primary note programme is 'OneNote'. OneNote is very good, but my OneNote is full of very heavy journals, plans etc, etc.

My Win8 work laptop comes with 'Sticky Notes', but if I paste from certain apps, it pastes using source formatting, which mucks up my notes and I can't see how to change the formatting (apart from Ctrl B, I, U etc...).

There is no print() output from running script in the console window, also not in the python nor info window (I rather checked all three), using latest portable version v2.70a

All listed Defrag Apps such as JK, Smart..etc. are of No Good if the Activity of De-fragmentation in itself remains blocked from the end of an Administrator! Hence, I would urge you to please issue a Note or a Proactive Advisory in this regard to prevent a further harassment of the intended User. Secondly, can anyone explain that Why on Earth the "harm free" activity of De-fragmentation remain at the privilege of an Administrator's nod? Suggestions will be appreciated!
