My update today caused Gramps to fail to start, looking at the error trace I saw that a new required python source file was missing _HasSourceNoteRegexp.py.

I downloaded the source code, found the file and copied it to \PortableApps\GrampsPortable\App\Gramps\Filters\Rules\Citation.

Gramps starts normally again.

I came here to get a portable Chrome, but all of the many download buttons only download an installer, not a portable app. Installers "install", which is the thing to avoid by having a portable app. If it installs, it's not portable.

Granted there might have been a real download button buried in all of the installer download buttons, but if it exist, I could not find it.

I have this damn google chrome which doesn't update.
I have error 1?

I've downloaded the last version, and replace my profil folder.
But chrome still tell me that it cannot be upadte ...

I can use chrome. But i'm just wondering why it's not working ?

It used to do this every time I start it up, but now it pops up randomly while the program is running. Intervals between notifications seem to vary from 30 minutes to several hours.

Is there a way to disable these notifications?

This is more of an FYI. Sometime last week McAfee Stinger stopped updating. I have my USB drive setup to check for updates on platform startup, but each time it starts it errors out when trying to update the program. This is on multiple computers. I thought I'd try to right click and uninstall, but no success there either. I was, however, able to delete the folder, reinstall Stinger from the PortableApps.com website, and update it successfully.

It's nothing I can't live without, I use FF as my main browser but it would be cool to try the Chrome OS interface but I don't want to install regular Chrome.
