Other Apps Support (Deprecated)

Spybot 2.1 app download will not install. Returns "Download Error" "Reget Error on File" and see http://nsis.sf.net/NSIS_Error. I tried three times and still can't load the app.

"Mnemosyne Portable cannot be started. You may wish to re-install to fix this issue. (ERROR: App\Mnemosyne\Mnemosyne.exe could not be found)"

Regardless how many times I download and install Mnemosyne Portable, regardless which machine I attempt this on, the error persists. I'm confident it's not something I'm doing.

Can anyone offer some insight/help with this error?

I downloaded Groovedown app, which is Java JAR folder with some .exe launcher. I guess the .exe launcher just pass JAR url to jvm or something like that. Problem is that when I launch it, it tells me this:

I have found a problem in KeePass Password Safe Portable.

Situation:

I sometimes need support /people connecting to computers etc for service.
And I want to learn,repeat some of the things those technicians do.

Tryed out the build-in Teamviewer recorder:

-but it alerts everyone whats going on, with big play/pause
symbols and a "record" thumbnail in the corner visable for the other partner.

-The same thing with CamStudio i belive? Or is it possible to record directly to the usb-drive and the entire process dont show to much?
(except the process & shortcut in the taskbar ofc..)

If you are using Windows 64-bit, here's how to install the lossless codec for CamStudio:

This saved me a lot of headache trying to get the codec to show up in the video options.

I am not sure if this might be some setting problem, but the Synkron Portable produces some kind of folder called ~Data and this is full of temp files produced during the sync/copy of the files.

Is this known?

Any plans to update this portable app?

Would it be OK if I just install the v1.23.1 into a sandbox and just grab the exe/dlls/etc. from there?

My official browser at work is Chrome, and I've been using portable Firefox for personal email, etc., but sometimes find sites not as friendly to Firefox.

As I recall, a couple years ago it wasn't possible to run the portable chrome in a second instance while the standard chrome was running. Trying it now, it appears to work--throws no error, and settings, etc. are as expected.

Is it actually acting "portably"--i.e., keeping data separate from the standard install?

I can not use IE10 (both 32 and 64) on Windows 7 or Windows 8 when DM2 Portable is running. I have try in on two different machines.

I check the Windows log manager. It logs this error when I start IE:
