[Closed] Language problems in IObit Unlocker Portable 1.0

Submitted by tapsklaps on January 11, 2013 - 12:12am

In IObit Unlocker Portable 1.0 doesn't work the automatic switching of the language in the PA.com menu. To solve the problem of language, 2 changes are needed:

  1. Changes in the file IObitUnlockerPortable.ini

    It's necessary, that the sections [Language], [LanguageStrings], [LanguageFile] and [FileWrite1] will be pasted in the file IObitUnlockerPortable.ini. Here now the content of these sections:

    [Language]
    Base=%PortableApps.comLanguageCode%
    Default=en

    [LanguageStrings]
    ar-sa=arabic
    zh-cn=chinesesimp
    zh-tw=chinestrad
    cs=czech
    da=danish

Skype is not fully portable?

Submitted by aasubs on January 10, 2013 - 10:12pm

I am running Skype PORTABLE on a Win7 x64 machine. Up until around Dec 25, everything was working fine. After that, possibly coincident with a version upgrade, I could not find any past history of chats and calls. The main.db file still exists in the usual place, but has not been changed since then.

Meanwhile, I found this directory:

C:\Users\[myname]\AppData\Roaming\Skype

In it is all the config data, including the more recent history.

KeepNote preference files location

Submitted by rrbauer on January 9, 2013 - 10:32am

First, thanks for providing this app in portableapps format!

In testing this app, I noticed that the preference files, log files, and extensions are (by default) kept in my windows user profile folder (on XP, C:\Documents and Settings\myusername\Application Data\keepnote). These can be accessed from the app, using Help > View Preference Files...

It would be much better if they were kept in the portable app folder.

Thanks,
Robert

jPortable as local jre

Submitted by PortableUser2009 on January 9, 2013 - 8:40am

I run my portable apps from a separate partition on my local system.
Is it possible to set jPortable to be the general jre on my local system and replace my currently normal installed jre by it?

Thanks in advance!

Ditto saves old Datas

Submitted by farat_as on January 7, 2013 - 1:14pm

Hi,

I am killing all Ditto process from Task Manager. After a few seconds I delete the Data folder of Ditto. When I open Ditto again, I can see my old copied strings on the list. How can it be possible? I also try to kill the Ditto process with this command:

taskkill /IM DittoPortable.exe /T /F

but nothing different.

Can someone tell me what is going on with Ditto? Sad

Thank you

[Fixed] About Project Invincible Portable

Hello,

I'm the author of Project Invincible. I see that you posted Project Invincible Portable without asking my permission or even notifying me, but that's OK - because Project Invincible is under the GPL, you don't even need my permission. Smile

Anyway, I'd like to point out a couple of issues in your page:

  • "System Requirements: Windows 2000/XP/Vista/7/8" is incorrect. Project Invincible will not run on Windows 2000.
