Chrome Portable setting separate from desktop version

I have Chrome installed locally on my PC, but I also installed it to my thumb drive for use elsewhere when needed. I got it all setup with my Google account, so it pulled in all my extensions, tabs, startup pages and such. My question though is this, is there a way to make the portable version not open up all the startup pages upon loading that the desktop version does. Since the setting are all tied together, I know that if delete all the starup pages from one, it'll sync to the other copy and delete them from that as well.

SIW (System Information for Windows) Portable

I try to download, from inside "PortableApps.com Platform 10.0.1".
I have no old version of SIW (System Information for Windows) Portable.

The download from the portableapps.com website work.

Error message = The downloaded copy of SIW Portable is not valid and can not be installed. This could be due to an incomplete download or other network issue. Please try running the updater again when complete.

Portable Foxit Reader bug

Submitted by rogerlasttry on April 15, 2012 - 7:17am

If anyone care there is problem with the portable foxit reader (and these forums).

1. if you just happen to click on check for updates in the foxit reader, a registry entry is left when exiting foxit.

2. there should be a report bugs forum or a direct link to report the bug.

3. back in the beginning opf the portable apps project, the source (nsi) was freely available for any particular app. Now it seems you are more intersted in forcing a return to this site for updates and/or problems.

In the latest realease of Skype 5.9.0.114 the /minimized switch no longer minimizes Skype to the system tray! Previous portableapps version works fine! I hope this is something that can be fixed as it is most annoying! Sad

[Fixed] qBittorrent issue with portability - downloads don't survive drive letter change

Submitted by Zomnut on April 11, 2012 - 10:08am

To be a truly portable app, should torrent data not correctly move with the drive? Once a torrent is added, the download path is absolute, not relative to the portable app, so if you move to another computer and get assigned a different dive letter you lose the progress download so far. Thoughts?
