Other Apps Support (Deprecated)

The new version of SMPlayer keeps creating a My Documents/My Videos directory everytime it is started. Is this a bug from the portable version or does it come from the SMPlayer? Anyway it is annoying.

Is there a way to switch it off?

Running latest Peazip portable. When I attempt to close the program get this Error Message. I am running the Portable appp via the platform installed on my Z drive. Win7 64 bit machine.

The file \bin\openvpnserv.exe is triggering a malware alert from Webroot, a program that I tend to trust (Webroot that is).

Anyone is having similar alerts?

XnView 1.98.6 does not recognize Ghostscript. Also cannot open pdf files.

I'm trying to run java programs using portable Geany, but it cannot compile because it looks like there is no javac under the bin folder.

Isn't it suppossed to be there?

When updating XnView the users preference are reset to the 'factory default'.
Thus erasing all of the users settings.

As far as I can tell the file that is most effected is the 'xnview.ini' file.

Java Portable Launcher currently gives a 'cannot find file' error when it is passed a path to a JAR file that is surrounded with double quotes.

For example, launching with this will fail:
JavaPortableLauncher.exe "c:\A folder\with a java JAR file\myfile.jar"

But launching it this way works:
JavaPortableLauncher.exe c:\A folder\with a java JAR file\myfile.jar

This seems a pretty simple problem to solve, and it'd be nice not to have to resort to workarounds like stripping quotes off with another program (or batch file) before calling the launcher.

When I go to my local radio station and click on Listen Live - Maxthon locks up when trying to load player.radio.com. Maxthon can only be closed with XP Task Manager. http://chicago.cbslocal.com/station/wbbm-newsradio-780-and-1059fm/

I reported this the last time it happened.
This happened with the last Mana update...only, not the same way.

This time, MANA.EXE is listed as an "Identity Threat" and is removed from the system (FlashDrive).
Here is some of the info given by AVG:

- Fullpath: F:\PORTABLEAPPS\THEMANAWORLDPORTABLE\APP\THEMANAWORLD\MANA.EXE
- characteristics:

It terminated 9 processes
1 file deleted

NOTES:

There appears to be a few threads on the forums about various issues with Rednotebook. Since I have been the developer of the program since it was in developmental stage, and am in contact withe author of the program I thought perhaps making one thread to discuss issues would make sense.

Given that I have spent 3 days and nights trying to get a handle on the slow loading of Rednotebook below are my discoveries:

1. Rednotebook was written for Linux in Python.
2. The author of the program uses Linux
