As it is officially dead. Thank you.
Hi,
Is this portable apps is useful for autorun an java application from USB drive.
if yes, can you please guide me the steps for creating it.
does anybody know why when I install the app to my usb it ran one time now every time I click on the file it does nothing.
thanx
I think this is great software and I install it religiously across my many workstations at both home and at work however now that there is the download function; it seems kind of redundant to call them "portable" any more and I require more support, as when I install the platform on C: e.g. Program Files -vs- PortableApps (it doesn't even show a folder destination, which might be ok in some circumstances but doing this 20x a day :/) I have to go into the drive in order to start anything.
I think PA.com needs more options, so can they be delivered?
I've got a Toshiba Usb flash drive with password protect on it. (Lockv241)
This is the user guide: http://www.inov8-memory.co.uk/downloads/UDPv224.pdf
I've stupidly forgotten the password and I've only got one more chance to try it before it reformats my whole disk.
IS there anyway I could unlock the usb/ access the protected files or even restore them if the disk is reformatted.
Any help is appreciated because this is very urgent.
Thank you
I cannot remember the email address I used when I originally registered for the PortableApps.com web site.
I tried the form to reset password (entering my username: Crimblepud) but have not received any emails?
Is there any way to reset my account?
I have created a new temporary one but would like to regain access to my original account if possible...
I recently downloaded and installed quite a few of the portable applications that were available through portableapps.com. It seemed to go well except for these messages that popped up after every install indicating that the computer was unable to write to the USB drive after the install. Several of the earlier applications that I downloaded do appear in the menu, but most of them don't. The applications seem to work if I execute them directly from the pen drive portable applications folder.
A single EXE file in the directory, run with custom parameters, launched from the PortableApps platform, is that possible?
Based on the recommendation of a friend I have installed before a few hours the Messenger "WhatsApp" on my Android smartphone Samsung Galaxy S III. And I'm really impressed greatly. Although this messenger however has some vulnerabilities, he offers some outstanding features.
So you can directly from the Messenger out perform the following actions:
OK I know I turned 50 yesterday which officially makes me old ( so says my daughter) but seems to me over night the font size of the pages here in POrtableApps has changed. Also the left hand panel where the sponsor link is has flipped so that the sponsored link is about the actions panel is now on bottom......So Please tell me I am now not senile?
