If anyone is familiar with the popular Hiren's Boot CD you'll note that he already includes several programs in the .iso that are launched with a command-script shortcut. Among these are 7-zip, CCleaner, Defraggler, etc.

What I want to know is how to add PortableApps in their "native" format to a custom Hiren's Boot image. In the extracted archive is a folder "Programs" which contains the command scripts and a subfolder "Files" which contains the actual programs they launch.

Basicly I was using Portable Skype, It was keep asking me to upgrade. After months of ignoring I decided ok fine you win so I click "upgrade" button and finish upgrading. Shock...Absolute shock.!! When I get back There are no logs whatsoever!
How do I get them back? Thanks!

the idea just came to me one day, i would like to know if anybody would be willing to try to build a small program for windows 7 that runs silently in the background but when you plug in a flash drive or device with portable apps on it, there is an option in the AutoPlay that says launch PortableApps Platform. If there is already something similar please let me know.

When I launch PortableApps the icon appears in the taskbar. In previous versions I was able to have it in the notification area instead. Can that be done in the current version?

PortableApps platform does not list the "Rapid CRC Unicode Portable" on the latest program list (portableapp directory). The latest new app on the list is "Wise Data Recovery Portable".

Has anyone had issues upgrading apps with v 11.2?
Platform informs of new apps but is unable to download them.
At the moment, uTorrent, xmPlay and Skype wont download from Sourceforge.

I'm Chinese and I love PortableApps.com very much, but downloading is slow because it connects the server in US. I know that every portable app is downloaded in sf, so why no add a param to the url to change the mirror to accelerate the download speed? Just make a combo box.

I downloaded and was using PortableApps.com in the form of Google Chrome browser. I recently deleted it. Meanwhile, when I click on "My Computer" my primary drive is now labeled "PortableApps.com" and the hard drive icon is now a USB Flash icon. How do I get rid of the "portableApps.com" label, renaming it to "Local Disk C:" or "C:" and restore the C: drive icon to its original/default icon? I've done a search of all files, and a regedit. I tried renaming but when I try to delete the PortableApps.com label it renames itself to PortableApps.com, no matter what I try to rename it as.
