Hi,
How can I rename an entry in the PortableApps Menu?
Thank you.
I have a non-working version of this on my drive with some lucifer.paf file suggesting I had a portable version, I cant remember...
Have done a search of the sinternet and forums here and can find nowt, anyone remember seeing anything on it??
Is there a way to sort forum searches?
I want to see if anyone is working on QEMU Portable. If I search for QEMU Portable 11 pages of topics, but I want to see what the most recent discussion is.
Wow, I guess with the HW from 6th grade and my enhanced forgetfullness I really need more time to do school stuff. I'm probably won't be able to do much more programming or forum help until Thanksgiving, when I can manage to work out more time. My projects are up for (temporary) grabs until I come back (}:)).
If you want, you can email me at digitnonymouse [4t] gmail [d0t] com to ask me about anything or give me news.
Oh no, the bus!!!
Just kidding.
See ya 2 months.
Hi.
I posted this elsewhere but no comments were made so I guess it was in the wrong section.
If PortableApps [or anything for that matter] are run from a USB flash drive plugged into a Vista machine [without saving files or anything except to the USB thumb drive], will there be any traces left on the Vista machine in the form of logs, temp files, records of any type? It would be enlightening to know.
Thanks in advance.

It may be a little off topic but highly relevant.
I have an old 256mb "flashit" COMSOL usb drive.
On insertion it requests a password. If no password then the drive is only useful for formatting.
I would like software similar to this that can be used on all usb drives (for free as I have so many).
Any ideas ??
Thanks
Ok, i'd like some input on this. On one computer, i have close to 10 portableapps from here, and several other programs in thier no installation format. My intention was to keep my computer clean from the crap that normally accumulates with installed programs. It also helps when i reformat my computer from time to time, saving a crapload of time reinstalling programs that i was using
Stellarium Portable is great, and it makes me wonder if the PortableApps community is considering any other tools for education. A good gradebook PortableApp would be very nice. GNU Solfege is great for music teaching, and it would make a good PortableApp. I know Freemind Portable is in the works, and that's great for educators. Any other suggestions?
A lot of the apps with beta versions are from there and whenever i click on he link or tight-click and Save as... I get a pop-up for an id and pass which I can't leave blank and hit ok, or cancel, which gives me an error page. I have FF 3.0.1 these are the apps i wanted:

Why do you need to install the portableapp on the usb? Why not just make a single .exe file to run the program so there is no need to install anything.
