PortableApps.com Platform

I have run into the problem of trying to run both PortableApps and ObjectDock at the same time. Looking through prior posts, I understand that it is an issue with ObjectDock's setup. However, I notice that all the posts are well over a year old. Is there an update to this issue? I am running the most recent versions of PortableApps and ObjectDock. Any help/updates would be awesome. Thanks a bunch.

John, the backup program is solid, but I think some improvements could be made to make it more user friendly. If you could make a calendar view that highlights the days you backed up, it would be more like Windows System Restore, with which more people are probably familiar with. If the calendar view is to tricky then just a list of backups sorted by date to chose from would probably work.

Hi i have portableapps and mxone (portable antivirus) installed on my usb but mxone detects portableapps as suspicius archive and i requested a goodware signature at mxone support but they said that they need the portableapps programmer
to request de goodware signature so
¿can someone of the developers please request the goodware signature?

For some reason a couple of non-Portable Apps applications have appeared on the Portable Apps menu. These include Firefox (not firefox portable) and an installer for an audio plugin totally unrelated to Portable Apps. How does one remove these from the Menu?

first, i have to say, poratableapps is great .. voted already.

i like the ability to show PAM with ctrl+P, but ...
i can --not-- select an application with keyboard (i.e. arrow keys).
would be nice to add this in the near feature version.

I have a Kingston 8GB flash drive. The total space available (not free, just available to put data on)is 7.44GB. In the PortableApps.com Menu, the indicator at the bottom says "7.2GB free of 7GB", thought it should say 7.44GB or 8GB.

A dumb question I know, but I've tried search and can't find an answer. In the Portable Apps backup utility I assume the option "Complete (all files on your portable drive)" actually means all folders and files - not just those in the Portable Apps folder. Therefore if I have my Portable Apps folder on my main C: drive , does that mean the utility will try and backup my whole C: drive?

I'm a new person here, and my creation of this account is to mainly seek help from the forums about my problem here. I have used PortableApps for 2 days already, and so far, I am impressed with it. I first used PortableApps on a computer which is not mine, where I downloaded the basic suite of PortableApps. I then went home and started downloading apps to fill it in. This morning, I also downloaded more and more apps and switched off my computer just a few hours ago. Now, when I try to open PortableApps, I go into my thumbdrive and double-click the Start PortableApps.exe icon.

Hi, I love portable apps, the only thing that annoys me: I am doing my backups with Toucan, so I don't want the PortableAppsBackup application. I can delete the folder, but is there way to also remove the "Backup" item from the menu?

I was wondering, can I change the paths of the music, video, picture and documents folders. Ive been looking around but i cant seem to find a solution.Can anyone help me?
