I'm trying PortableApps.com Platform under Wine (Ubuntu 8.04). Application buttons work fine, but exploration buttons (Documents, Music, Pictures, Videos, Explore) doesn't anything. Any ideas?
Thank you in advance for your help.

Is there a way to tell the launcher to load the wallpaper bmp file centered or tiled vs streched. To change now, you have to let it load and then use desktop properties to change, if needed.
Also, it would be nice to have some Portable Apps logo bmps available to use for desktop wall paper. The wall paper swapper is nice - it reminds me to remove my memory stick before leaving the computer after I have been working for a while. having a Portable Apps bmp would sever as an additional reminder.
Hi John
When setting my notebook (XP SP3) to extend my monitor, I get the following error when trying to change the screen resolution of the external/2nd monitor.
The same error also occurs when I open my notebook screen after it was closed. My notebook is set to do nothing when I close the screen/lid.
"Access violation at address 00455C1C in module 'PortableAppsMenu.exe'. Read of address 00000004"
Specifically the un-modded folder design and the portable apps icon. (the circle with the arrow)
I use Cryptainer portably (love it) and on my USB stick's root drive, have a 2Gb encrypted volume that has no file extension. I don't know how that works, but it does. This volume contains all my project work, plus my password safe.
Arabic. For some strange reason, when I just went to close down PAM, it was in Arabic. I switched it back to English, but I could swear I didn't touch the language settings. I've just been using TBP and keepass.
Hi,
I have installed Thunderbird and other apps on my thumbdrive, all seems fine. One question however: Is there a way that I can secure my data on the USB drive either in software or hardware?
If I loose the thumb drive then it seems anyone can access my information, also important if I was to use the GNUCash app for any financial info. If is there any passowrd protect feature available in the platform that would be good.
Hi,
I've been using the default launcher on a low res 1024 screen and it works fine.
However, when I run it on a high res 1900 screen, the background of the launcher doesn't seem to be able to accmodate.

I am new to portableapps, and first let me say that I think its great. I have two questions but since they belong in two different areas I will post only the one here. I am wondering if there is a way to tell portableapps that after it has loaded to start certain programs. For example I just started pnotes, and think it would be great if upon start portableapps that it just ran. Is this possible?
