Portable Apps Menu - Dock Icons

Submitted by Skeletorfw on July 31, 2008 - 6:40pm

I've been trying to find some PAM dock icons since I first downloaded objectdock about 6 months ago

In the end I gave up and made my own
There is one icon which is like the original icon, and one "aqua" icon

You may download them either as a package from this direct link:

Apps Version Checker

Submitted by REHVC on July 29, 2008 - 9:02am

Hi!

I have a question:
Is there or is it possible to incorporate a version checker for the apps that you have installed in the PA menu?
It would be nice to be able to check whether or not you have the latest versions of apps that you have installed, so you can update them easily, even after you didn't check the PA site for a while.

Portable Apps Causing Problems with Antivirus/Firewall

Submitted by PhillyDee on July 28, 2008 - 11:07am

After installing PortableApps to my thumb drive and using it for the first time, my computer either stopped starting up Avast! antivirus on startup or Windows failed to recognize Avast! and Comodo firewall.

I haven't yet figured out a way to correct this problem. PortableApps is the only thing that I changed or altered in this session.

Why is it interfering with my A/V and Firewall?

Apps work independently but no Apps Icons in Menu

Submitted by suptrniq on July 27, 2008 - 5:43pm

All apps installed and working.

Installed to:

F:\Portable_Apps\PortableApps

into their own respective folders.

For example (7Zip):

F:\Portable_Apps\7-ZipPortable

I can run it just fine from that
folder but when I open the
PortableApps Menu, I see nothing
except the basic menu - no
apps icons.

The apps were installed using:

Options / Install new Apps

from within the menu system.

Anyone?

Thanx
