PortableApps.com Platform

Hello,

Periodically when I launch my Portable Apps platform, all my applications can't access their config files and open with default settings. I noticed the PortableApps directory has read-only folders and even when I give them write access they still are read-only. I have this behavior on Windows 7 and 10 and Windows 7 gave me a compatibility error and offered to run PortableApps Launcher in compatibility mode.

Has anyone had this problem and know how to fix it? Having a development platform not remembering its config settings is a big problem.

After installing LibreOffice 5.0.2.2, I found that the PortableApps.com Platform menu is missing LibreOffice Writer and the LibreOffice main application (LibreOfficePortable.exe). Only Base, Calc, Draw, Impress, and Math are offered. Would be nice getting this corrected.

It would like to see this app higher DPI compatible.

The problem is, i use my laptop all the time, and because it has Full HD display, i have to set a higher DPI to make everything bigger.

When I try to install Apache OpenOffice via the Portable Apps Menu, the dowbload fails due to a 404 error. However, the correspondig link at the Portable Apps website (App -> Office -> Apace OpenOffice Portable) works flawlessly. I think the Portable Apps platform app needs to be updated.

Every time I boot and launch PortableApps menu, the About dialog pops up with the What's New tab selected. I unstand how this could be useful as a one-time action after an update but not every time. How do I stop this. Getting annoying.

When I launch portable apps on any computer (Windows 7 and 10) and on any flash drive I have (Freshly formatted or not, has files on it already or not). I am getting a bunch of errors from this platform. At some point I had a file access denied. But currently here is the setup and error it is giving me.

Current Setup
On Windows 7 Desktop
Sandisk 16GB flash drive (just formatted, file system is Fat32)
Just installed the platform, no apps installed, first launch

PS I am sure that I tried turning off Avast the other day when attempting this, and I still got the error
However this time (2nd attempt) I tried using 'Run as' to run 'Start.exe' and I unticked 'Protect my computer and data from unauthorised activity'
That still got the error.
However I just did both (unticked and had Avast switched off), and I had SUCCESS

Thanks for the great app and apps.
I have done a donation in the previous version and all was successful.
However after the upgrade to version 12.2 it asks me to donate again...??

Is this normal behavior??

Current operation:
When opening a category in a fuller menu if you expand lets say utilities and it is at the bottom nothing except the scroll bar changes.

Expected operation:
Ideally when opening any Category if the entire categories contents will not be displayed display them.
Specifically auto scroll so either bottom entry in category is visible or if there are too many entries to fit them all, then scroll so category name is at top of window with the fist xx category entries listed below.

Why do I need all PortableApp icons and lots of other files that would never be required if I just work with English? Could not teh download package be made smaller and the installation faster if just the required files are included?
