What is the download speed set to for the PortableApps Platform / server?
I encountered what is at least a GUI bug in the PortableApps Platform while installing a bunch of PortableApps.
I selected about a half-dozen PortableApps to download and install from the PA Platform. While downloading, the Platform indicated that one of the apps, which was only about 100MB in size, was going to take close to an hour to download. I clicked "Cancel" for that app, and allowed the others to download and install.
Not sure if this was asked before but I would like to make the following requests:
1) Create my own custom categories.
2) Rename categories.
3) Sort/order categories.
4) Create subcategories.
5) Move apps from one category to another category.
During an update done by PortableApps.coms Updater some applications asked always for a folder name and if this applications should be installed.
This might be right for an installer, but a Updater should work calm and without interaction with the user, or?
Is it possible to do the update processes quiet?
(Wasn't this the behaviour before?)
When sorting available apps by size of download or size when installed, the code is sorting as if the values are strings, not numbers. As a result, the sorted order is erroneous.
I have never turned on the option to "Hide Desktop Icons". However in the most recent release of PA.c 12.2 there is a weird thing happening. Upon upgrading the PA platform it seems the option was checked (by default?) and alluded my attention for sometime. I am a neat freak and don't use the desktop to any extent, however I did notice that the right-click context menu is not available. Once I tracked down the offending checkbox and removed the entry all was back in order.
Some people with plugins for specific applications may have issues if they're using the 64-bit version of a app. Is there a way users can override the default launcher behaviour to load the 32-bit build of an app?
Hi,
Is there a way to assign a shortcut to show the portable apps launcher? I would like to input a shortcut and then just write the app name in order to launch it, instead of clicking everytime on the icon on the tray.
I cannot use TEAMVIEWER due to a login failure. Once ID and log In have been entered, the sign in tab will not accept commands. TEAMVIEWER is aware. Any ideas?
Good-day all, I hope this entry finds you all well!
