LibreOffice 3.4 has stopped working

Submitted by CNBlackwood on December 27, 2011 - 11:57pm

I just ran the update to LibreOffice and when I try to start the app from the PortableApps menu and while the application is loading for the first time, a Windows error dialog pops up saying LibreOffice 3.4 has stopped working. The splash window is still open and the last message shown is always Enabling Hungarian dictionary, hyphenation, thesaurus.

This behavior repeats every time I try to start the application.

By the way. This is on Windows 7 64-bit using the latest version of the PortableApps platform.

Unable to Choose java Installation

Submitted by ukriegel on December 5, 2011 - 4:38am

I installed the latest LibreOfficePortable Version 3.4.4 and JPortable1.6.29 on a W7x64 computer.
Starting Scalc I got a lot of warnings that Java is needed to run LibreOffice properly.
Via Extras/Options/Java I tried to choose my portable java installation, but the corresponding button has no effect, no browser window opens to select an installation,...

How to solve that problem.

LibreOffice Portable - slow startup compared to regular LO

Submitted by Aikiki on November 27, 2011 - 5:45am

Title pretty much says it all.

The installed LO takes about 1-2 seconds to start up, while LO Portable takes about 8 seconds (warm start) and 13 seconds (cold start). Of course, from the same drive.

Now, I did not install the regular LO with everything, so maybe it's not a fair comparison. But still, it seems like too big of a difference.

PDF Options

"For more control over the content and quality of the resulting PDF, use File → Export as PDF. The PDF Options dialog box opens."

The PDF file is created, but the options dialog box never appears. Something I need to enable/disable to get at the security choices?
