LibreOffice Portable

I installed the latest LibreOfficePortable Version 3.4.4 and JPortable1.6.29 on a W7x64 computer.
Starting Scalc I got a lot of warnings that Java is needed to run LibreOffice properly.
Via Extras/Options/Java I tried to choose my portable java installation, but the corresponding button has no effect, no browser window opens to select an installation,...

How to solve that problem.

The portable apps platform wishes to download a new version 3.4.4 of LibreOffice, but every time I allow it to continue it fails with

Download Error. Reget Error on file
Outdated download link removed

I'm on Windows 7 Professional, fully patched and run portable apps on a Sandisk Cruzer micro 16Gb. Language is British English

Any ideas what's wrong?

OOPortable had a feature to run on terminal server: .ini option SettingsDirectory - to use separate folders. LibreOffice does not have this feature and users see a warning every time they start office. Option SingleAppInstance cannot help in this situation. Is there any workaround?

Title pretty much says it all.

The installed LO takes about 1-2 seconds to start up, while LO Portable takes about 8 seconds (warm start) and 13 seconds (cold start). Of course, from the same drive.

Now, I did not install the regular LO with everything, so maybe it's not a fair comparison. But still, it seems like too big of a difference.

"For more control over the content and quality of the resulting PDF, use File → Export as PDF. The PDF Options dialog box opens."

The PDF file is created, but the options dialog box never appears. Something I need to enable/disable to get at the security choices?

Good Morning Group;

LO 3.4.4 fails to start. It shuts down when trying to enable script for python just as "342 and 343". I am using Win XP with service pack three installed. It is a normal PAF install to "x/portableapps/libreofficeportable" as before.

I just downloaded the latest LibreOfficePortable (version 3.4.3). When I attempt to open a pdf image, for example in Draw, it's converted into ASCII garble and opened in Write. Does anyone else have this issue?

Note: There is nothing wrong with the pdf. It's an old pdf image I've used in documents before, and it opens just fine in all pdf viewers. It has pdf version 1.4. Unfortunately there's no option to attach files here, but take my word for it.

I tried to install
LibreOfficePortable_3.4.3_MultilingualAll.paf.exe
and
LibreOfficePortable_3.4.3_MultilingualNormal.paf.exe
on WIN XP sp3de
in path d:\pprog\LibreOfficePortable
or d:\pprog\LibreOfficePortableFull.

But the
LibreOfficeWriterPortable.exe is from March 22nd 2011 and has errors as in OO 3.2 which were solved in 3.3.x.
Only the LibreOfficePortable.exe is from September 9th 2011.

Neither with libreoffice 3.4.3 debian x86
nor with libreoffice 3.4.3 win x86
i had similar problems.

Have recently upgrade LibreOffice to V3.4.X and noted that when creating a Base form using the wizard, the styles at step 7 are missing but they were present in V3.3x.
Is this an installation error? Can I copy the necesary files from an earlier version? If so which files are they and where can I find them?
